theres no way to remove your notes, it really serves for other readers in the future to be aware that those of us with these specific Euro 6 variants that they cannot be confused with earlier, or even later variants.
I can remove them if you wish - or leave them here if you think they will be useful to others.

I think leave them as it was well intentioned and still serves to clarify that we do have these oddball Euro 6 variants which don't conform to earlier specs or indeed the later Adblue models.
It would appear that our variants only were made for a 3 year window of time at the Sevel factory

Just found this thread have a 2018 comformatic 2.3 with 40k on clock (problems started about 36k) . Started with turbo boost code but now mainly coming up as 401 and 402 errors. Replaced HP EGR. Wondering what the latest thinking is for where to start and best order to check etc… ? Any help much appreciated

@Ducato401 you have messaged me tonight, please look for my reply.
Sorry to hear that you are the next victim of this terrible affliction. I am sure that us members will guide you down the path....

For anyone reading Ducato 401s position, whilst I've made contact for others picking up on this, the answers are not easy. To take to a main dealer the repair will no doubt include, new parts including, injectors, DPF, LP EGR, LP EGR cooler, HP EGR, intercooler etc plus v32 software and cost in the region of 7-10 thousand pounds. It all depends upon how much damage has occurred from overfuelling as a byproduct of the original software. There are many other aspects which ought to be checked before raising that mortgage.its known that rodents nest in the air filter and chew the filter, ( debris goes straight to the turbo), rodents also chew the vacuum pipes to turbo solenoid. The turbo solenoids are known to fail after 25k miles. The MAP sensor is known to be factory fitted with a non Ducato part, (compatibility not known).
First steps are to get a laptop and buy the interrogating software package known as Multiecuscan (referred to as MES) from Gendan, cost circa £100. Then go for a drive and watch the LP EGR operating and see it's temperature. This device begins to operate with accelerator pedal depressed and retracts with foot off. It should be seen to be varying as you drive, including it's temperature varying between say 70 and 120 degrees (ish). If the EGR just goes to say 4.7 and doesn't vary then it indicates that the LP EGR cooler is blocked, this being the usual problem. To change the cooler is a full days job by a garage because it's suspension detach/ subframe off. Whilst you may establish quickly that it's the cooler that's blocked, you need to find the cause of the soot first and sort that.
.
The above notes are actually very much abbreviated, you are walking blindfold into a minefield.
.
No ordinary garage will have experience and knowledge of these twin EGR Ducatos, they were only made over a three year window at the Sevel factory. Only one other car maker is known to have used a twin EGR system, all others went for Adblue to achieve emissions.

The posts from FredAstaire will suggest you get a copy of Multiecuscan and run a number of tests. see following .

For MES i can only reccomend the PC version.
1use a win10 laptop obdsx USB dongle and multiecuscan from Gendan with the yellow adaptor this is the easiest method

The alternative is to get a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle and multiecuscan direct from multiecuscan.net
(I also have Alfaobd Android version with a Samsung j6 phone a8 or tabA tablet and a bluetooth dongle.)
The advantage of BT is its wireless and laptop can be placed in a variety of places. The dissadvantace is buying a cheap one is frought with difficulties.
the price for a genuine one will be in the £20 plus region Beware of cheap ones about £10 they have been reported not to work

If you are now experiencing issues it may be prudent to get a copy of Multiecuscan and run the tests as suggested in the multiecuscan tutorial suggested in the guides section and post the csv file here. We will look at it and advise. I have analysed a few now.

@Ducato401 I guess you are all sorted now. Please can you advise which component (s) your dealer has changed as it will help our other members to know.

Vidéo internet fiat ducato 6152 rappel pipe egr. Cette vidéo m'aide pour le démontage
Bonne nuit et bon courage à ceux qui on ce problème

My attempt at a Translation of Cariou's Post:

Good evening

I also had this code P0401-61 on a 2017 Ducato Multijet 2 with 46000 km on the clock. After checking the injectors were OK, I changed the cooler. Clogged LPEGR.

We have done 6000 km since without problem.

For 15 days I monitored the supply (?) to the Exhaust gas LPEGR. And it performs admirably well with lower fuel consumption. The temperature sensor on the low pressure EGR valve shows a lower temperature.

Video internet Fiat Ducato 6152 EGR pipe recall. This video helped me for the disassembly.

Good night and good luck to those who have this problem

Thanks. It would be good to know which software version you have?
A word of caution - I've had all parts including the EGR cooler replaced but the fault has come back after around 12,000km, my van’s back in again for repair after which a Fiat engineer is going to inspect and test it.

“Good evening
my software version is 023
Here is the change. what I did I closed the outlet of the pot and put a filter at the inlet of the lpegr cooler so it breathes cleaner and cooler air and the temperature sensor accepts it very well
Good night”

Sorry to tell you that I believe you need to get your software updated to v32, Fiat has issued a service bulletin about this which you will see in earlier posts, copy attached.
Good night to you also.

@Cariou please can you add more photos. I am trying to understand where your new air intake mesh filter is.
Is it 1/. by the steering rack / exhaust silencer or.

2/. At the back of engine at the junction between the LP EGR and it's cooler.
Thanks.

@Cariou I see you have fitted a brand new cooler.
Question 1/. Have you bought it from a Fiat Dealer in recent days?
Question 2/. Have you the part number of the new cooler.
I'm wanting to know if Fiat have made any mechanical changes to the cooler.
Thank you
