I used to have (legitimately) an X290 eLearn on a USB stick which was also encrypted and I think somehow the encryption was tied to the USB hardware. I made a backup of it, just in case, but although an exact backup of the data it wouldn't open at all. Needless to say after a while the data stick became corrupted and although Fiat guaranteed a replacement if that should happen, by the time it had happened they had withdrawn the facility to obtain eLearn manuals on physical media so wouldn't replace it. Even restoring the backup to the USB stick after repairing the corruption wouldn't work.
That's annoying, from what I've seen there's probably some 'hidden' data on the USB stick that contains the decryption keys. I have looked through the USB version of eLearn code and there's some pretty serious stuff in there to prevent copying of the code and data with lots of red herrings in there too. To have a fighting chance of cracking it one would need a working USB copy to start from. Maybe one day I'll get to it...

I'm working on the Ducato Natural Power (as this one is extremely rare) electric installation files, as for now I have like 60+ files. Will continue this evening and upload them to the forum when the site will be taken down.

I was also interested in getting the 500C docs, but it seems I cannot access it :(

In the meantime, in response to one of the threads, I've uploaded a couple of docs regarding the battery, alternator, power supplies etc for the 500L Multijet.

Hello together,

if you are missing the Images, store (File Save as..) the Html stuff with your Browser (tested with Firefox) maybe in the download section and open the File with the help of the File Explorer.

yep, its down. Time to collate what weve got and get it uploaded.
@ben there could be a good deal of files available that needs a bit of organisation beforehand or chaos is ready to take charge. Entropy tends to one. (dissorder is the natural state)

Service Unavailable

HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.

Thanks to @Reg 65 for bringing this to our attention

Fact. Ha, so probably the server is getting DDoSed :D

I really hope someone somewhere managed to write a script to collect all the data :)
so do i , ive had a pigs year of some pages saving as pdfs and some not ive ended up taking screen shoots, which will be a nightmare to stitch together as a linked system. this was to make sure ive got the info i may need and a bit more. could the DOS be a reason for saving empty files.
The 503 Service Unavailable error is an HTTP status code that means a website's server is not available right now. Most of the time, it occurs because the server is too busy or maintenance is being performed on it.

A 503 error message can be customized by the website it appears on or the server software that generates it, so how you might see it vary greatly.

How to Fix the 503 Service Unavailable Error

Since the 503 Service Unavailable error is a server-side error, the problem is usually with the website's server. Your computer may have an issue causing the 503 error, but it's not likely

We are hitting it too hard.

How much space and how many files did it take for one model on an USB stick?

The files totalled 14.97 GB but it was for all Fiat Professional models. It was a frozen copy of the information on the Technical Information Portal at the date of ordering the stick. At the time I had access through my job.

The USB was quite expensive, ISTR around £100, but direct access to the website was chargeable per hour/day/month or year and could quickly exceed the cost of the USB.

But as with most if not all manufacturers nowdays, they withdrew everything to online access only for registered users who meet their registration criteria, such as verified repair workshops with VAT registration.
