This is a repeat of a new thread I opened up in order to get max views, it doesn't matter which one you reply to .
I know there are a number of people here who have suffered the cooler blockage problem and maybe some I don't know.
Recently I seen a little extra detail in a post from someone Ive helped, this got me thinking and I got a couple of questions for those that have had problems.
1 Have you got the original c of c if so what is date it left factory
if not earliest date info you have eg date it arrived at dealers forcourt or date of registration.
these can be quite different eg mine left Sevel nov 16, Left Rapido may ,17 reg march 18 Another (Panel Van) i know of landed southampton march 17 then 2 months in Bristol, return to Southampton Docks then forward to dealers.
2 MAP sensor. do you know what was part number of original MAP sensor and was it replaced in any work done by Fiat Pro.

I'm hopping to consolidate a few ideas.

Found a bit of paper work on van shipment from garage to swift to convert to motorhome.
At fiat 31/07/17.... At swift 10/09/17 .
Reg DVLA march 2018 . Incorrect MAP fitted but I'll have to try and find it to check part number , fiat never recommend MAP change, was done as advised by forum by myself.

Original MAP sensor as fitted by fiat
And replaced with 0281006076 . Bosch

I don't know if it's significant but what I take to be the manufacture date, 17-05-04, is, on mine, 17-02-....

And on this one, Thomas Lypold's, 16-12-07.

Could be nothing,but another thing I noticed when I bought van I painted exhaust with high temperature paint,and on v28 old map it would burn off near DPF , after v32 and new MAP I very rarely have to apply new paint, so it would seem exhaust gas temperature is lower now ... Just a observation on my van ?????

The implication is there. I need more regen data for v32 and earlier. I have v28 and have a couple of events so know how difficult it is to capture. The required pids are in new template4

FP told me I'd the latest software but didn't actually put a figure on it. He was able to see from his system that I had some sort of upgrade on 2nd Jan 2018 and yes, when I checked my diary I had been back to the dealer on that date. I have no record of what for but since I bought end Aug 2017 it wouldn't have been a normal service.
I was speaking with Fiat Customer Service today and he could see that the work that was done in 2018 (1 Feb on his system when I definitely wasn't at the dealer's but perhaps when it was batch-entered into the Fiat system) was not in fact the software update but Recall 6172 - Intercooler Sleeve Collar; implications of which could be loss of torque & power.

So, @theoneandonly , I'm no longer the earliest software upgrade. Tho I suppose it's possible they did it at the same time and forgot to enter it. Certainly there's nothing on the system to say when it was done.

Summary that I quickly found.

@Fredastaire #9
Old sensor no. Bosch 0281006028
New sensor Bosch 0 281 002 845 (OE 050424527)

@Thomas Lypold #56
Old sensor Bosch 0281006028

@theoneandonly #70
The supplier of the new sensor informs about the change of number to 0281006076

@Jiwawa #1445
The offer from Fiat there is a sensor number OE 504369148

I also wrote to Fiat asking for my MAP sensor number and received a reply that the correct number is 504369148. After entering it in Autodoc I got these results

Which one is right?

And did his refurbs work? Presumably the 1st didn't.
The first was carried out by a fiat pro in Kent, paid by Fiat (after a long campaign by Baz) the second by same dealer 6 months later. Fiat sent a technician from Italy to surpervise. Fiat were not happy that refurbed injectors had been used first time when they specified new. A fuel test had shown diesel bug. The van was working fine and eventualy sold.

@Jiwawa , Baz's first refurb included factory exchange injectors. The whole lot failed.
When Fiat did the second rebuild they fitted factory new injectors. The key yet, not clarified point was that they did laboratory checks on his fuel and if memory is correct they emptied his tank and refilled. Baz travelled in Europe, we think he picked up diesel bug. Baz sold his van shortly after Fiats second rebuild.

@Fredastaire memory is a wonderful thing, i remember the tank just being dosed up,(but easily could have been emtied) what i found odd about the whole fuel thing was that baz was given a sheet of results with no indication of what it all meant. I had to research it and came to the conlusion it was contaminated with what is known as diesel bug.

To rule out a MAP sensor error, you can perform a small test. If there is a person who has two sensor models. Connect the sensor to the car so that the values can be read from the MES. At the place where the measurement is to be made, connect a hand pump with a pressure gauge, Observe the indications of the Boost pressure position.

A sensible idea. If i remember the wrong one was intended for a porche 911 much higher reving and the calibration curve changed at mid revs. And was same at idle.
