Anyone know where to buy cheap Carbon vinyl wrap from... got another project

ive looked on Ebay, but only seen it for over £40 with delivery, and i think thats a bit too much..

links appreciated... (y)

How much are you wanting? Ill ask around on other forums im on etc. And whats the other project?! is it a 126?

Did measurements today, 3sq meter was far too much.. i need around 1sq meter of the stuff.

The section of dash is 250mm wide and 1meter long. so thats 0.25sqm. and the dial facia is 0.2sqm. so thats roughly 0.5sqm with excess.

Anyone got any i can buy from them? Please... (much love ;) )

Not bad beading there Russ, is that SRP?

The ideas with the 126 sound good, you got a thread up about it? :D

all my polishing is done by hand with basic stuff. i use Turtle Wax Silver Polish, Followed by Turtle Wax High Gloss Wax then use a little bit of Demon Shine Spray-on-Shine. tend to keep away from AutoGlym waxes like SRP. your paying a premium for a result you can get with cheaper products (y)

Each layer is fully smoothed with a Lint-Free Cloth (yellow duster ;) ), then gone over with a Microfribe cloth.

What am i doing with a 126 now? nothing illegal & unholy is it ;)

He doesn't own one yet Rawb, unless he snuck off and got it without telling anyone ;)

 ;) my 3 car drive way has 4 cars on it :p (excluding the caravan)

Some turtle wax stuff is good, I will give it that. Keep an eye on a thread I will post tomorrow or the day after  Then you'll realise the above statement in bold is wrong ;)

No idea what you're doing with a 126 ;) But if you have one, I want to know :p

The Astra is OFF THE ROAD

It is off the road for upto 1week...
Having panels resprayed, rear brake lines replace, rear brakes upgraded, and other minor things...

So GreenFlag have kindly given me a courtesy car for a week..

A VW Golf, 2.0TDi GT :D

IN OTHER NEWS>>>

Rawb & Frazer...
I do have a 126 :D:D...

well.. I did, i was "Loaning" one from a friend in Lincoln while he was on holiday, the purpose was to see if i liked one and to get used to the car.

Put it this way.. Its made me want one more!!! i made him an offer, but he wanted £2,000 (n) but it was a joke offer...

I have decided though that im not going to buy a decent one like i planned originally, but will buy one to do up (y)

£400 lighter off today.. the bill went through for work on the car and for the courtesy car.. :(

but not bad considering the time and the work done :D

front pads/discs, rear pads/discs, rear brake lines, new flexi hoses front/rear, 2 panels resprayed & 4 days hire of VW GOLF....

cant really complain with the cost of that, (y)

only thing im concerned with is the make of the brakes, the discs are Brembo, so good quality. but the front pads are "ULITIMAX" and the rears are "ALLIED NIPPON" never heard of either of them

Ultimax are a type of pad made by EBC.

Speaking of brake pads...

caught them just in time

Old on top (OEM) Bottom are new (EBC or ULTIMAX)

Yes, i know, that now ive looked at them they still seem to have plenty of "meat" on them and would do the job, but when you upgrade the rear discs you are best changing your pads all round..

they were a little spungey before i changed them, so thats what made me think of doing it, but thinking about it, the fluid could just do with changing...

But for £35 for front and rear pads your really cant complain.

While a lot of people are aiming to "Debadge" their cars..

ive gone the opposite way and REbadged the Astra... When i got the Astra it came with the Irmscher Grill, which is a badgeless version of the Vauxhall Grill, and this is a £120 optional extra, so i decided to remove it and replace it with a Vauxhall grill from a scrapyard. and made £20 profit (y)

Before with "Irmscher" Grill

Without any grill. :D

After, with Vauxhall Grill

Gotta say i prefer without too but fair enough, Still looks good either way lol. How did you make profit? did you sell the de badged one?

I think in person the badged grill works better.

at the moment because it hasn't really got any mod's it shouts a little unnecessarily.

once its lowered and on different alloys i'll put on a badgeless again..

Profit is a lose term really, it came on the car when i got it, sold it for £40, new grill cost £12 and the other £8 was on KFC and petrol to collect the grill
