Ask in a halfords branch about the steering wheel controls. There might be an ISO plug for the steering wheel controls too. They make them for loads of cars.
I highly doubt it as they're canbus controlled

Whilst you will still have vents, they're not going to work well with that. Personally I would say that having good ventilation is FAR more important.

Is your current car a Fiat 500?Fair point. I have to say though, I never use those vents in the car that I have now.
I'm not really sure if I will put this back in or just sell the system and buy one of those sat navs that fit on the dash.
Is your current car a Fiat 500?
No, it's a Mito, until tomorrow, get the 500 then.
Well I'll leave you to see how useless the outer vents are on the 500.........
I don't understand any of this canbus stuff. You might as well be talking in a different language!![]()
Yes, it's a Kenwood unit that I bought over from my Mito.
Kenwood DNX-5260BT Car CD/DVD/DivX 6.5in SatNav: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
It's an integrated sat nav, Bluetooth, DVD and stereo system. I also have an under seat sub and upgraded front door speakers to put back in. I am wondering if the steering wheel controls and the cables that I bought for the Mito can be used on the 500, not only because the steering wheel buttons look exactly the same (and the Alfa had Blue and Me as well) but also because Alfa and Fiat share some common parts don't they?
I couldn't get that link to work but I did get a picture of it on another site.
If the unit is black if you've gone for white ambiance it might look a bit out of place.
If the vents are compromised IMHO I wouldn't fit the unit - 500 is a small car compared to the Mito and you will need the air on your face (agree with Maxi).
Thinking of the Sat Nav feature there was a Tom Tom for sale but unfortunately it sold.
There is a guy on here along with others (Bqunn & Grimwau) who are into the Tom Tom and TechHouseC has given a good summary here but be careful if you plan to move it to a different car.
If I had the Socket I'd go for the Blue & Me Tom Tom unit because of the way it integrates and keep the retro look of the standard system.
I think the sound of the standard sound system is pretty good - too late for the interscope now.![]()
Have a read of your B&M manualOk, thanks guys. I am pretty sure it is Fat32, will check it tomorrow though. When I scroll through the sources I get MW,FM, Aux etc, but no usb, should it show usb? Do I have to go in the menu and enable it perhaps?

I just bought a double din fascia plate off of eBay so that I can fit my Kenwood unit back in. I haven't found that the airflow is weak as other have said, in fact it's quite good (and hoping the fascia with the vents doesn't lessen it)! I'm getting it done at my local ICE dealer's as I want the sub put back in and the door speakers too. They do a fantastic job, to be honest, it's worth the money. I will post photos in a few weeks when it is done...mind you if it doesn't look good, no photos!![]()
Thanks for your help.
We weren't talking about the central vents, you need to try the side vents, they are near on useless.
