Technical How to change the head unit

I was being a bit flippant with my earlier comment about running a Merc or equivalent etc. I love my TA and I'm not sure what else I would have bought if more money had been available. But you must lose serious dosh selling so quickly - my friends rib me about changing my car too often, and I keep them for 2 or 3 years! Mercs aren't too bad, btw - we ran the current shape A-class for a few years. First service was £140, second was £200 and third (major) £300. The car was always washed/hoovered and we were treated like royalty compared with most other marques.

I just bought a double din fascia plate off of eBay so that I can fit my Kenwood unit back in. I haven't found that the airflow is weak as other have said, in fact it's quite good (and hoping the fascia with the vents doesn't lessen it)! I'm getting it done at my local ICE dealer's as I want the sub put back in and the door speakers too. They do a fantastic job, to be honest, it's worth the money. I will post photos in a few weeks when it is done...mind you if it doesn't look good, no photos! ;)
Hi! Can you possibly link me to a double din set as you referenced in your post - I am tryiing to get a Pioneer AppRadio unit in my 500.

THANKS!!!

Daniel

On the subject of changing head units, does anyone have a DAB radio in their 500 that they are happy with and can recommend? I can't see that Fiat have ever offered one as an option which is a shame and I don't like the idea of the adapter that you tune to an FM frequency and have an auxilary aerial stuck to the roof!

Thanks all & Happy New Year
Stuart
