There is an LP EGR valve for our van on ebay..that's where you can see the butterfly valve.
.
If we found a way to disconnect the bottom pipe, blank off the silencer outlet and pipe in fresh air then yes the combustion temp will be higher. The input of dirty air is designed to make combustion a lower temp so 'no' is lowered or stopped.
.
When you run MES you can watch the EGRs individually turning there function on or off, with a cold engine it's off anyway.

If we found a way of disabling the LP EGR do note that the HP EGR would still be functioning to I guess we would still be controlling emissions, maybe to euro 5 standards.

It would be very very interrsting to be able to identify those 5 wires that connect LP.EGR to ECU, it would open some possibilities for testing or maybe even some modifications….

it may be possible to have one more (third) egr hanging there under the bonnet just to give the ecu something to play with, as it is possible to drive the car which is euro5 😉

Does anybody have a link to the Fiat technical bulletin 10.023.19? When I called my Fiat Professional garage they said there was an additional code came up afetr changing MAP sensor and that they needed to contact Fiat Italy, When I went to collect my motorhome after they said it was fixed I asked them what the problem was, they said they weren't able to discuss that?

That's great. I managed to get it to work, I'm on my sons laptop and it needed so many updates. I've taken my motorhome for a drive and got it to go into limp mode again. You can see the sudden drop in the graph. Any ideas?

have you got the screen shot from F2
also the page F3 errors and freeze frame data from each of the errors .
three graphs
the injector variances are above the fiat limit of +-2
theis is seen on a number of engines
the sum of variances also can be above the limmit. This is the worst ive seen.
Engine Gman run1 injectors .jpg

LPEGR cooler temperature is low and indicative of a blocked cooler
the valve does not wildly open and close and also includes areas of control ie openings of 1 and 2

The boost pressure is unable to follow the desired value. The turbo is switched off and MIL at the highest boost typical with engines with blocked egr cooler

A few question have you now got a P0401 with or without the 236, 238
is it a comformatic.
I suggest you read my guides

@theoneandonly , I don't have a P0401 error, tonight I got P0238-61 and P0263-7A. I had injectors, engine and turbo replaced December 2021

Can I suggest basic question - wipe the inside of the silencer tailpipe. If it's well sooty it indicates cracked DPF, if it's almost clean then that's a good start. If it's sooty, wipe it spotless, go do a drive then repeat. When we know how clean it is @theoneandonly will give a clearer direction of what's next.

May I add to the above.
The screenshots are with Multiecuscan (MES) in its playing test mode which they call 'simulate'
whilst all the parameter script is correct, the values in column showing percentages or mm or mbar are complete fictional so don't think to compare against real values that your van will produce when connected and running. The simulate mode is just for you to play and learn.
.
These templates are the very ones that @theoneandonly and I use and share the results between us and have been used to identify members problems, mine included.
.
The exhaust wipe out is a critical start position for knowledge of any of our problems.

@theGman with a clean exhaust it's highly unlikely that you have a duff DPF. What is the van mileage, what is the replacement engine mileage? .
Back to basics I recommend an intensive viewing of the intercooler hoses and the intercooler itself, take the air cleaner cap off and check the air filter for rodent nesting. Check the turbo solenoid plastic vacuum pipes.
.
If all ok I would next go for a run with MES running live data and watch the LP EGR opening requested / actual. Downhill foot off it should be closed, foot dowñ it should re-open. On the run you should see it fluctuating between say 2mm and 3.9mm to show it is varying itself to suit engine demand, the LP EGR temperature should equally vary between 60 ish closed and 100 +-10 as you drive. This indicates a clear enough cooler. If you see it either closed or 4.7 open (ie fluctuating between closed or fully open), then the cooler looks blocked.
.
If this proves ok then no hesitation change the turbo solenoid and MAP sensor, cost circa £100 and a little diy work.
