The new seat does appear to have heating controls and the buttons are relocated to either side of the gear stick like a Porsche or Audi

Ah what you've got there is the latest one which they've rushed out due to people hating the previous one..

Which looked like the this..

Spot the button...

Actually I call foul...that's not a Leon you've got there. As having looked it up...the entirely button free car with stroke to adjust heating is the Leon.

Posting an old Arona...😜

The Leon still has buttons behind the gear stick like your Toyota and while they are touch buttons they still have buttons for the heating. It’s not like a lot of cars that completely did away with all heating buttons and put them in menus on the screen.

My picture above was an Ibiza I believe.

Also VW are winding up SEAT in the next few years SEAT will disappear so they are unlikely to invest any more on any future cars and will recycle technology from other VAG cars

In other news it’s car cleaning Sunday for the first time this year.

I probably should be annoyed as I’m not sure my wife’s car has been cleaned in the last year and with all the recent road salt it was well over due. But it doesn’t half clean up ok for what is now 8 year old car.

I employ a very expensive man to keep my wife's car clean.

To be fair the last time he washed it he also replaced the exhaust..time before roll bar time before that brakes, time before that a wheel bearing.

Some say there are these things called car washes or that you can do it yourself...I personally think each wash coming with free parts is an innovative strategy although the rates are pretty steep.

As the mini is out of any sort of warranty, it doesn’t go to the mini dealer anymore and so doesn’t get a clean each time.

8:30am this morning, sat in a stationary queue on the top of the hill above Gloucester, snow falling, visibility about 200 yards. Local weather forecast on the radio, "Today will be dry and cloudy, with some sunny intervals.".
Later, radio DJ talks about it being Cheltenham Festival, (big horse racing event), and advises wearing warm clothing as more snow is likely. Immediately followed by a repeat of the earlier weather forecast. I guess no-one listens to their own broadcasts.

Nationwide are giving us £50 each...
Just as well as I dropped and broke one of the porch corner posts, and we found one of the sealed units is broken. £140 down the drain. When we get that new post I can finsh the porch. The posts with reinforcement and little jacks support the porch roof. Its going to be a faff getting it all taking the strain where required. Cementing the last window cill corners in the rain didnt go so well but its so nice not needing to climb over them working inside the house. Annoyingly I bet that glass was broken on delivery. The driver was unusually helpful unloading, but that was back in November.
Now what to do the the old window. ANYONE INTERESTED. 2.05 X121 APPROX. would do another 20 years in a garage somewhere.

Annual Barniversary trip to the seaside. Panda Nut also known as the Sixpenny man leapt up onto the pile of pebbles in a single easy bound. Dog had to be helped up and back as falling between the pebbleswould have been dee zastrous.

Annoyed my daughter driving home in her car. We filled up at Morrisons in Cromer and it said range 401 miles. We got home around 35 miles later and it said range 484. My singing Eighty Three to the tune of one nil, did not go down well but that is actually about 115 miles extra from the tank. It does show how much further you can get if required in emergency, by driving gently and slower. Annoyingly after turning off and then turning the ignition on again it dropped to 475. Plus 35 we had already done, I'll take that!

I had my dental implants done yesterday. That didn't make me smile...at all. Today, though, I'm feeling pretty good. Good enough for a 1.5 mile walk with my pup today. I'm hoping to get an okay to participate in a bowling tournament on Sunday.

It was also nice enough today, 80F, that I went on a 70 mile motorcycle ride.

Reroofed the porch today. With the new fascias that cost £47. I can live with that. I hope to finish the porch by weds if the corner post cover arrives. Thats just one more small window and then a lot of mucking about before cementing the edges. Fortunately it was easier than expected. Unfortunately my SDS drill packed up. I opened it up and itsgot several issues. It may be salvagable but the main gear is so worn, and its bearing looks damaged, I think I need a new one. I wonder if a lower powered lighter one would do whats needed now. One things sure. They aint cheap.

I got one from ALDI a few years ago, but neither they nor LIDL are doing anything similar currently. If not urgent, keep an eye on them.

Ah ha, this was either Lidl or Aldi and it's done a hell of a lot of work. I did a vibration assessment on it. Its safe working daily allowance is 18 seconds. LOL

I have dismissed anything made in the USA as they dont want our trade, so even though there are a couple that looked ideal, NO WAY JOSE. I think encourage trade with PRC! Probably either a Titan which looks identical to my Power Craft or an Einhell (European?) both have safety clutches which my old one doesnt. Its cheaper than a couple of hires. I really want just a drill and no accessories as I have SDS bits for the world already. I have one ot two more holes to put through the walls for the kitchen and bathroom extractors so I want 900W or more.

I think the mechanism to switch off drilling on mine has got so worn it doesnt work. I may just reassemble it and see if it has a little more life left but the ball bearing drive lock seems to be beyond repair. Its probably just not worth it. Its annoying as after I have done this house job I doubt Ill need a big drill again. May be I will keep the old drill standing by in case anyone else wants parts? Or I could send it to Musk Rat and Deputy Dick head in the USA and they could fit the motor in a Tesla. LOL They can charge tarriffs to their hearts content on that.

It's not the USA that doesn't want your trade, it's the Marmalade Caligula and his Magat followers who have no clue how Economics 101 works. But I do recommend boycotting the American products even though most of them are made elsewhere and not here. That little bit of discourse out of the way, the bruises showed up last night from Thursdays dental fun.

To be fair finding American products is extremely difficult outside of the glut of “American” sweet shops which claim to sell American confectionery but are mostly a front for laundering money.

We don’t really have American cars except for Tesla which no one in Europe is now buying.

If you’re going to import something from the USA, then It’s probably just as cheap to buy from China, South America, Africa, etc.

I think the orange buffoon massively over estimated how much the rest of the world actually buys from the US
And soon we’ll have even more trade from the likes of Canada and Mexico.

You want to add tariffs to European/British goods, go for it. Most of what we make here now tends to be luxury items such as higher end cars, high end fashion etc and as a result you just made it much more “exclusive” which tends to have the effect of driving demand.

I watch a lot of stuff on finance and there was an expert talking about the US and Canada saying you won’t get Canadians to buy US lumber, because Canadian lumber is much better. But if you put a tariff on Canadian lumber, you’ll increase the trade in these products between Canada and Europe but also the US will stop buying good quality lumber and start building with low quality wood, which due to the GOPs anti environmental policies, will run out pretty quick sending the costs sky high
