The Mango Maga Moron ?Orange Buffoon is being overly nice.
The best of it is my son is talking of returing to UK as his american wife wants to leave until the trumparse era is concluded. A few shreds of a good idea used to gain power but based mostly on lies. I would like to lock him, Boris Johnson and Putin up together with enough resources to provide for them all only if they cooperated intelligently with each other and let them get on with it.To be fair finding American products is extremely difficult outside of the glut of “American” sweet shops which claim to sell American confectionery but are mostly a front for laundering money.
We don’t really have American cars except for Tesla which no one in Europe is now buying.
If you’re going to import something from the USA, then It’s probably just as cheap to buy from China, South America, Africa, etc.
I think the orange buffoon massively over estimated how much the rest of the world actually buys from the US
And soon we’ll have even more trade from the likes of Canada and Mexico.
You want to add tariffs to European/British goods, go for it. Most of what we make here now tends to be luxury items such as higher end cars, high end fashion etc and as a result you just made it much more “exclusive” which tends to have the effect of driving demand.
I watch a lot of stuff on finance and there was an expert talking about the US and Canada saying you won’t get Canadians to buy US lumber, because Canadian lumber is much better. But if you put a tariff on Canadian lumber, you’ll increase the trade in these products between Canada and Europe but also the US will stop buying good quality lumber and start building with low quality wood, which due to the GOPs anti environmental policies, will run out pretty quick sending the costs sky high
Hoy!! Watch it it, you'll end up in court for slandering moronic mangos. The Mango Maga Moron ?
I hope you got the other bloke a few good punches first! It's not the USA that doesn't want your trade, it's the Marmalade Caligula and his Magat followers who have no clue how Economics 101 works. But I do recommend boycotting the American products even though most of them are made elsewhere and not here. That little bit of discourse out of the way, the bruises showed up last night from Thursdays dental fun.

now that is genius, I’d definitely pay to see that. You may have just hit upon a brilliant new reality Tv show.I would like to lock him, Boris Johnson and Putin up together with enough resources to provide for them all only if they cooperated intelligently with each other and let them get on with it.
This is going to be a bit of a grey area as tariffs only affect physical goods generally speaking and so software is unlikely to be directly affected. A lot of tech companies are buying in stuff from all over the world and having it assembled in one place ie iPhones made in China, chips made in Taiwan, and so forth, this means these physical goods are not being “exported” out of the US as they were never in the US to start with. There maybe some changes in prices due inflation in the US but you’ll be unlikely to see the full impact. Also these are not things that are bought repeatedly by consumersAs nice as it is to think we don't need to buy American things.
Try and find a computer without an operating system that doesn't have its' roots in silicon valley. Same with cloud storage.. navigation systems use the GPS satellite network etc. Both major phone OS are from US companies. Going outside of the usual suspects puts you in line for using what are likely Chinese or Russian backed equivalents.
Weve had it here with our own glorious criminal leader and also leaving the EU., That cost us joining, it cost us being in, but we had stability. It cost us big style leaving. Its costing big time being out and it will no doubt cost us rejoining again one day. Who knows whats best.... May be some little good thing will come from it. Here is hoping. Its not good having an angry 2 year old with their finger on the red button either. Both of my daughters are popping ventricles over the BS happening on this side of the pond. My youngest has a veritable alphabet soup of initials after her name with many degrees for finance, auditing, and fraud investigation. One of the few times I've heard her swear was just recently when she came out and said. "The DOGE fcukwits are are assholes who couldn't get a date any better than they can run an audit."
My older daughter is fit to be tied. She is a DEI hire and her salary is paid for by grant money. DEI is to assure that the most qualified of people are hired regardless of their race or sex, instead of hiring an unqualified white guy over a qualified black person, brown person, or women. With the grant money frozen, she no longer has a job when it runs out.
What I am starting to see is a lot of 'buyers remorse' from people who voted for Diaper Don. They were expecting that this BS he and Muskrat are doing would hurt the people they don't like, but it's hurting them, too. The immigration raids and deportations have the migrant farm workers not showing up to work, so there is no one to pick the crops. Which cuts both ways for these racist fcuks because with the USAid department being shut down, the government is not longer buying their crops for Foreign Aid. The on again, off again tariffs have caused retaliatory tariffs and also caused customers for their crops to look elsewhere. Illannoy, where I live, is a corn and soybean state and the largest customers were the US government and China. The US cut off their nose to spite their face and China said, "Get Bent."
Many of the frozen grants and canceled contracts also went to the people who voted for Nero. They allowed their small minds and narrow world view to vote against their best interests and are now paying the price. They voted for 'The Leopard Will Eat My Face Party' and are now surprised that the Leopards are, indeed, eating their faces.
We tried to tell them.
The bevel gear on the motor has let go probably due to the wear of the main pick up gear, so its dead for the want of a couple of gears.I got one from ALDI a few years ago, but neither they nor LIDL are doing anything similar currently. If not urgent, keep an eye on them.
I had one a few years ago after a rush into hospital to have my appendix removed, one of my daughters was beside me at the time, her comment was "Your not a virgin anymore now!"A prostate exam. All normal, or as expected.
I am extremely ticklish, easily reduced to a crumpled heap. Today, I found that I am just as ticklish inside, as I am outside. Very entertaining for myself and the doctor. Managed not to fall off the examination couch.
I did the front axle U-Joints in my Jeep a couple of years ago. My hated 1997 F-150 shop vehicle was a known eater of the damn things.I had one a few years ago after a rush into hospital to have my appendix removed, one of my daughters was beside me at the time, her comment was "Your not a virgin anymore now!"
Changing the subject, when was the last time you wrinklies did one of these jobs below, last time I did was on a LDV recovery truck for neighbours son.
Reading an old car magazine I see Ford had an EV in 1955.![]()
I recall doing many on old Series SWB Land Rover front props due to the sharp angle up to the transfer box, back one being longer less of an angle and of course the LWB LandRover less again.I did the front axle U-Joints in my Jeep a couple of years ago. My 2020 F-150 diesel has a factory block heater. I hadn't used it this winter, but it got used last year. That 2020 is 10 times the truck that 97 was.
The joints on the 97 were sealed. There were joints available with fittings but my employer wouldn't pay the $2 extra. After the third failed, I refused to fix it again at our shop and took it to a local guy. I spec'd the joint with the fitting. When I handed in the bill, they went apeshit over the cost. Just said that they should have let me spend the extra two bucks at the first replacement.I recall doing many on old Series SWB Land Rover front props due to the sharp angle up to the transfer box, back one being longer less of an angle and of course the LWB LandRover less again.
Did the F-150 have grease nipples, as an apprentice we had to grease all sus/steering and prop shaft joints but nowadays most are sealed.
About 4-5 years ago, replaced lots of UJs on brother's Land Rover Discovery. Shortly afterwards, he drowned it in a river, submitting to peer pressure with several others at a flooded river ford. He insisted that someone had to go first. I suggested that no-one needed to go at all.I had one a few years ago after a rush into hospital to have my appendix removed, one of my daughters was beside me at the time, her comment was "Your not a virgin anymore now!"

First clutch I ever did was on a Triumph Herald 1200 in 1969, from memory nearly all inside once the cardboard tunnel cover with all its bolts were removed.1978 my Triumph Herald SE. And only tgen because i dropped it and lost half the needles....
Wow, that 'musk' have hurt him. (sorry, I'll get my coat!)Hoy!! Watch it it, you'll end up in court for slandering moronic mangos.
I have it on good authority that one of / his biggest backers lost rather a lot of money this week due to his antics and the affects on the stock market. Good.
The only trouble is this also hits everyone's pension funds.
Hat's off to you.Until Friday I'd never coded anything in DAX...
However today I have and I've managed to build a working replica of something we do by other means...other than dealing with the change to BST which is tomorrow's problem.
Why is a replica a good thing? The thing I'm rebuilding generally requires a software developer skill set, several bits of specialist software, access to a multiple servers and knowledge of SQL and web design.
This new way is contained within the main system and can be done by someone who doesn't mind a bit of mental gymnastics. I say this as to get it to display a time..involves 3 different bits of maths all of which are absolutely logical and yet a ridiculous way of doing it.
I understand no one will particularly care but hey it feels like a win at present.
