My car is already yellow :p Well, gold anyway. I wouldn't recommend putting a cover on it though, it's filthy!

I'll let you know what's happening, it depends if we have plans. I could have sworn we were doing something but my phone calendar says no so maybe I got my dates wrong!

Well, as it turns out Lloyd was able to confirm he will be here with his +1 on Sunday, so as it stands we have the following now confirmed attendees:

Alphacos+1, chaazureblue, Franda, grimwau+1, Lloyd71+1, matthewmma, Melanabb, raysmith+1, Red Bubble+1, RUI, yellowluigi+1 Mass PM Attendees

I shall be sending a Mass PM tomorrow evening just to confirm that everything is Kosher (no Lloyd, not the meat in the curry) and include my mobile number just in case anyone gets delayed and needs to rendezvous at another location. At the moment I am waiting for a replacement SIM but if it is not here in time I'll pair my spare phone to the car.

We found at MITCAR that the names badges were a good idea so I shall be be bringing some sticky labels to fill out and stick to you (except for RUI) as I didn't nick any of the blank badges from the FF tent, (mental reminder to do so next time).

Looking forward to meeting all the new members and catching up with the usual suspects.

Weather forecast looks good at the moment so hopefully it won't be a repeat of last year, although, saying that I have to admit, it was excitingly different.

Who would like to see Lloyd's car in all it's golden splendour or shall we make him buy RUI's car cover.

I like how Google can bring up the exact same spec and colour as my car, even the alloys are the same. Not for long though :p

OK! The weekend is finally here so looking forward to giving the car a clean on Saturday ready for the Sunday meet up at the Green Dragon. The weather forecast looks promising so it seems as if we should get some nice photos as well as a drive through the New Forest National Park to boot. (y)

I am just going to Mass PM all attendees with final details and look forward to meeting everybody on Sunday have a safe trip down. (y)

Oh blast! Don't tell me I've got to clean the car...:D

Methinks you protesteth too much, lol. (not sure about the Shakespearian spelling :))

Anyway, as this will be the first Volare Blue 500 we've had, if it passes muster it will be awarded, ** Drum Roll ** the "second in line prize" and be assigned the much coveted "pride of place position," just astern of our intrepid leader. :worship:

Just don't do too good a job and show us all up. ;)

See you Sunday and I'll make sure I wear my sunglasses, wouldn't want to be dazzled by the shine.

Talk about pressure! Mind you, if you knew my reputation for lack of sense of direction and apparent (im told, dont agree myself) lack of speed, doesn't matter how shiny the car is, you wouldn't put me near the front of any convoy....

I have just got back, it was great to see everyone. Here are a couple of photos.

Ian, glad you made it back no problems and thanks for the positive comment and the great photos. (y)

P.S. I wonder how many stone chips you didn't get with the new "Bra" fitted. ;)

P.P.S. Now everyone can see from my sig pic how you got such a great shot of the cars in the picture above

What a great day! Thanks to the YellowLuigi for meticulous organisation (and NO FORDS!:)), Grimwau for unparalleled planning and execution (luckily not the new members ;)) and everyone for a great company and engaging chat. Sorry I didn't get to speak to all of you, hopefully next time! Picking Halloween costumes already...

I'd like to reiterate Mel's comments (apart from the bit about me of course ) and when she says "No Fords" she isn't referring to the car but the swollen rivers we had to brave at the last meeting.

As always Mark & Kirsty came up trumps with the route planning and co-arranging the venues and despite the rain managed two photo opportunities at exactly the right times. It was very nice to see the old timers and to great to meet those attending for the first time. I can now see the reason why Lloyd doesn't spend so much time on the forum as before, nice one mate (and I'm not talking about the Yaris.) (y)

We also took time out to meet some of the locals but they didn't seem to appreciate the apples and started getting confrontational so, despite RUI's assurance that they wouldn't hurt us if we stayed calm we decided to beat a hasty retreat to the pub.

Here's to the next one and if anyone wants to see Mel in her Halloween costume  then keep an eye out for the next event announcement.

Thanks everyone for a great day out. :slayer:

We have had a great day and would like to thank everyone that turned up and especially Tony and Liz who got the ball rolling.
It was great chatting to friends new and old. We are looking forward to the next one and are already guessing what Tony will be dressed as !!!:)

You can tell the Yaris is Japanese, it's like a ninja sneaking in to all of these photos :p

Thanks for a wonderful day out everyone, and special thanks to everyone involved in the organising! Me and Sally had a brilliant day out even if we were in the odd one out!
