Hello! My girlfriend has a 2009 1.2 Fiat 500. As I've been looking over the car since we got it, I noticed that there's a different type of catalytic converter on the little car than there should be. According to the part on the heat shield, a Fiat Panda catalytic converter was put on it, who knows why and where.
I would like to replace the catalytic converter, I found a complete used exhaust system (catalytic converter, middle exhaust pipe, exhaust drum) from a friend, 2018, 18.000 km (factory made).
My question is what should I look out for? As my car is EURO 5 standard, but I would like to fit a EURO 6 catalytic converter? Does anyone have any experience with this? What is better or worse?
Thank you very much in advance!

That part number is for the heat shield, not the catalytic converter itself.
They cost around 75 euros so I guess someone had the Panda part laying around and decided to use it.

Agree with John, Doesn't make sense to change it unless it's not working.
Part number is 51938204. It forms one part with the exhaust manifold and even a used one will cost around 300 euros.

A strange, rumbling sound comes from the catalytic converter in a moment. Obviously I know the part number is for the heat shield. But it follows that the catalytic converter is also the panda's, as the upper oxygen sensor is not connected at the top of the catalytic converter, but from the side. I don't know the reason why it was replaced. Came across a good deal that you can get a used (18,000 km) complete exhaust system(catalytic converter, center exhaust pipe, muffler drum). So I thought I'd replace it then, obviously the lambda sensors would be the old EURO 5 ones fitted.
