All depends what you want to do with it, the 1.2 can be tuned

95 is fairly easy if only at the top end

All the way up to

157BHP @ 7600 RPM very expensive for a race car

But

The 1.2 4x4 engine is already different to the standard engine, different cam for lower down torque

If you want to improve its day to day and off road, without hurting the economy too much, increasing the capacity is the way to go
I was thinking of skimming the head and gas flowing the head, and improving the exhaust. Not sure maybe I could do something with the the throttle body to improve higher rpm as it doesn't really have any high rpm

On its own it will not make any noticeable difference

The current setup is pretty good and and mapped well

You need to change the camshaft not easy or cheap to come by now

Then there's the cost of reshimming

I posted loads of information, such as here

Also posted some back to back testing of a full decat and straight through exhaust on a standard engine awhile back that made virtually no difference

There's a lot of mis information from people selling a product or service, a lot of the rolling road graphs aren't right, we know what the graph for the standard engine should look like, some haven't even got this bit right

There's a magazine article (retro cars) that you can find online on tuning the fire engine, by a proper tuning company (Wolf)

To make a noticeable difference in a car that still nice to drive around town, it's easier cheaper and better to fit the 1.4 from a donor 100HP, it's been done several times

Just Tjet swap it. It's a pretty established process and the gains are.... Noticeable
