Will still spray the super wheel trims up though in the mean time. Don't think the Lancia wheels would look right on her actually.

What was the factory 'colour' of these trims? Were they silver or grey?

I am seriously thinking of doing my trims - a light rub down, undercoat and top coat?

I know a number of you guys have done yours, what did you find worked well?

On our 89' 750L there is on cream coloured rim (was origionallh the spare so been under the bonnet most of its life) and it looks really good.

I've only seen one other early mk2 with them all round and it really looked superb!

I think the silver was introduced either later on in production, or on higher spec'ed Panda with the full center caps rather that the small black ones between the wheel nuts.

Jon

well I said I was not going to fit these untill next year but i couldnt resist, had them shot blasted then painted by the same paint shop that did juppy and the sisley trouble is i keep parking 2 foot from the kurb so i dont scratch them:p

Ah the wheels look cool Urchin. Very, very nice (y)

Just checked on the bay and the Corsa has reached it's reserve. Car fund will soon be replenished so Poppi's wheels can be shot blasted too :)

LOL, theres not enough space for the sub box to sit sideways, so the sub faces the boot lid and it makes it shake, you jst get a blurry picture in the rear view mirrror.

Would like another go at making a parcel shelf again for speakers. Perhaps a task for Monday so i can have tunes on the tuesday drives

Worth it I just drew round a template of a 6x9 on shelf and got jigsaw and file to it fits well now tho! Did you use something like radx to flush yours? Mine defo needs it doin still oil in water from head gasket.(y)

It seems absolutly fine in mine just have the parcel shelf not attached to boot so does not in up also tide it to the boot arms so does not rock around. Not to pretty tho haha:rolleyes:

Give it time. . . . We done the same with the third shelf. All of a sudden you will notice it start dipping. Was kind of glad when I blew the 6x9's We ended up with smaller ones.

I lost count of how many times I got wacked on the head with the boot when we had the speakers in the shelf. The 6x9's weighed a lot.

Poppi's had a busy weekend.

Firstly she went over and met her elder sister Courgie. Had her wheel trims resprayed up ready for the 155 steelies, which she will wear in the winter and whilst her original 135 steelies are being shotblasted and refurbished.

Then her final jobs are to have the stripe replaced (as it is now, but running over the boot too) and her brand new front bumper fitted (turning up tomorrow, all being well)

Finally she has had her sill paint work re done. Piccies below . . . .

oh is that what shape the bottom edge of the sill is supposed to be! Just chipping all the cracked stonechip off mine at the moment to catch the rust before it gets hold and re-cover it with fresh stuff but it's a hell of a job, gone on about an inch thick.
that sill is really a thing of beauty, You've got a cracker there!
Andrew.
