I'm sure its going to be the prings on the horn push.

Mine didnt work when i fitted it and a bit of poking around fixed it.

Thanks guys.

I think the problem could be this. There was only one spring in the Cinq horn so I replaced it with the 2 springs from the Panda horn which were slightly longer - would this make a difference?

Everything works as it should - I think it is an earthing problem.

Discs and pads fitted today, also looked over rear brakes which appear fine.:)

I mean't to say, cost of my work today was:

Discs £13.50
Pads £11.10
Labour NIL
Total cost £24.60

Good huh?

If anyone is after discs there is a guy selling Unipart ones on Fleabay for £13.50 INCLUDING postage. Amazing price.

if longer, just means the cntre push will stick out a bit more, and maybe be harder to push right in.

Thinking about it, the springs will always be connected to the push.

If you look at the inside of the push. the is a metal ring and two tabs on each side. when pushed, the ring will connect with the 24mm bolt on the shaft will it not, earting it and creating circuit? check its clean and see

Just back from the Ashdown forest and managed to get a set of Panda 1000s wheel trims for Poppi, for when she is not wearing her soon to be shot blasted steel wheels!
Plus managed to scavenge a few grommets for where the doors shut onto the body and a couple of rubber bung thing for the doors.

Cheers PH :slayer:

Sid the Sisley now has a new drivers seat base (Thanks to Aquamarine..:worship:) and a new set of spots on the bullbar....Pic's to follow.

Checked and topped up fluids on P/haze and Sid...Gosh your having a prob with steering wheel Martin!!..

Glad the seat base worked well for Sid the Sisley Kev!

I've started the welding on the Italia 90. So far I've found - o/s rear arch/boot floor (tricky) and I think two areas on the o/s sill. Pic of the boot is attached.

Am wondering whether it's better to replace the whole sill - are they available? Remember someone (nitro?) did a great post about their welding, will look that up.

In the meantime will be working on the Bianca in preparation for the rally - and trying to get sponsors for the charity!!

FFS, so much for being a relativly tidy Sisley. I hope she sells on the bay. Doing a listing this afternoon and setting up a delayed lasting to start Thursday evening (when im on holiday) so it's on and ends Sunday week when they say statistically eBay is at its busyist with logged in members.

Changed the diff oil in Sid, oiled the clutch cable the best i could and rubbed down/treated some small areas of surface rust under the car where the waxoil/zebrite has pealed off....

Rub down and spray the diff next..(y)...Feel like i achieved stuff today..:)

Wot you doing about the hole Jon????

Nout unfortunatly. She'll be sold as is, probably costing me dearly, but I've not got a welder :( (n)

Just trying to find out if it's and MOT failure or not so I can inform bidders if it needs to be welded or can be fibre-glassed.

I am waiting to hear from Jangcy about the shocks he has to sell, but in the meantime I have painted my rusty shocks with black hammerite and they don't look 'arf bad (even if i do say so myself).

Got some plans to tidy up my doors and re-valet (vax) the inside before it cools down...I don't think the Princess has ever looked so good in years.:)

Still got to sort my leather steering wheel and I have also promised myself a set of Cinq alloys at some stage but not totally convinced on that idea.
