Any chance at all?
I don't have the graphs, they belong to the owner of the car not to me. I only have the video footage taken. The car was tested on the same rollers in Feb standard and made 144 bhp.
Any chance at all?
P.S. TMC, you say you came 'back from england' after doing the conversion, where did you go to do it?
Duh, Sanspeed obviously. Sorry, a bit slow there. The Garrett GT 1446 only seems available from FIAT, unless we can find the code number from the unit itself. I have info to say that they are looking about £1300 for it
I'm probably just going to wait until Sanspeed make a manifold kit for it that can take a t25 roller(they're in the middle of making one), I guess about £600 if the one for the 500 Abarth has anything to go by.
Actually no it wasn't Sanspeed, the work was carried out at Silverstone Autosport in Deeside near Liverpool. We bought the GT1446 as part of a kit, not from Sanspeed either![]()
Ah right ok, I just assumed as Sanspeed have the same conversion picture(s) on their siteI suppose it's going to look the same anyway :bang:
I assumed the only way to get the turbo was by getting the SS kit but I dont have 2750 handy![]()
Yes it is the best way buy the SS kit and sell on the wheels etc that you don't need.
i though Abarth wouldn't sell you the ss kit if you didn't have a car suitable for it?![]()

I'm surprised you didn't ask to have a copy, especially to advertise what you do and the gains possible, as I'm sure there'll be a few people wanting this conversion and would want to see the difference (if any) in power delivery over the standard model rather than just a number.

If any??? What do you mean if any, the turbo is twice the size and you think it will give the same power delivery as a standard A500![]()
Its a different car, no resemblence to the standard A500, there is no noticable lag but from 3000 rpm it pulls like a train right to red line, the driving experience is totally different from a standard or A500 with tuning box, totally different. The standard car loses momentum after 4000 rpm were this car is just keeps pulling and pulling. You can see the graphs in the video. We are waiting on an uprated actuator coming for it so until that arrives we dropped the power back to 209/210 to get a linear graph as the standard actuator spring was struggling.Sorry, I meant any differences in the power delivery with the changes- spool time (more lag?), change in torque curve (comes in harder/maintains it longer/etc) and so on.
I wasn't criticising the results, just curious to how it makes it to 200+. I've seen some awful graphs for RS Turbo's that make the 'magical' 300bhp figure, but take forever to get there and have such a tiny powerband that it's not worth waiting for, lol. Then there's others that are on-boost early and hold the power right to the redline.
I'm interested as I know someone who's looking for a similar hike in power.![]()
Hello,
i have a Bravo 1.4T-Jet Sport 150 Hp.
and now i have 192 Hp and 350 Nm.

Hello!
I'm looking for something like you did!

Thank you
