If you tap the surrounding area, i could be wrong, but it feels fibre glass or plastic (anything but metal) is this where the body has been sealed with some form of synthetic filler maybe? I'm not sure, but it makes a non metallic sound when you tap it.I think he is referring to the metal area surrounding the cap, not the actual cap itself. Obviously.

Ahh, just you wait until I've CAD modelled mine & had them made by selective laser sintering & matt chrome plated..........
And that is coming from the driver of ........... sorry, can you tell us all, or better still post a picture of your car.

Nice one Mark, I think that you have created a lot of interest about something that when I originally posted was considered quite a trivial matter.
Mind you a lot of those opinions came from non 500 owners whereas now there are a lot more of us about.![]()
Not lokely to be cheap items though. Even at cost you are likey to be talking £20 a peice at a guess. Although they will look uber cool as they'll have the '500' logo on them.
