Hi, has ANYONE actually carried out a water pump replacement on a Fiat 500 TwinAir?! Sooo many questions!!

I have, you need the timing tools for crankshaft. A new gasket for the cover and a new water pump. Can ask me any question
Hi… Thanks for replying!
I’ve got the crank pulley locking pin! However do you actually have to take the pulley off as it looks like it’s been designed to slide out from the pulley insitu, even with it’s retaining pins?
What is the Nm for the Crank pulley, water pump bolts? And water pump cover?
I have a replacement rubber seal for the cover but is it also recommended to use a sealant?
Did you use anything on the new water pump O rings before placement?

Not 100% sure but 99% that you cant slide the cover out without removing the crank pulley, but you can try.

Crank pulley nm is 124-137Nm LEFT HAND THREAD!!!

Water pump bolts are 8-10Nm, but you may need to use new bolts because the coolant sometimes eats the bolts away.

I can't find the Nm spec of the cover bolts but I assume they are also 8-10Nm (I do it on the experience and feel of bolts, almost never use torque wrench on this type of bolts)

You don't need to put sealant on the rubber gasket for the water pump.

Put vaseline on the O-Rings of the new water pump, so you don't damage them when installing, i use the plug on the bottom of the water pump cover to drain it, also use vaseline when re-fitting the plug.

Nice one!… Thanks for that, and taking your time replying

Reference the cover gasket, so did you just clean up the block mating surface and didn’t apply any sealant when putting the cover back on?

I like your comment on draining the coolant from the housing, just wondering can you remember how much drain-off of the coolant you get from here?
I also understand there is a coolant vent on top of radiator when refilling the system is there any other vent on the this engine type do you know?

Don't know how much exactly but I think between 2-3 Liters. A Punto twinair has a small bleed screw where the hoses for the cabin heater go into the firewall, but don't know for the 500.

Yes clean up Block meting surface, i use scotch brite for that.

Nogmaals bedankt voor de ondersteuning en hulp van de tour!
