I don't have my car yet, and so can't even appreciate what these caps are for really, but if it is likely to avoid a flawed problem, and make life easier long term, then I would most certainly be intrested in 2 too!

I was actually planning on at looking those but never got round to it. Perhaps I might pm chris@souls to see if he has prices and a picture.
I am quite happy with what I have done as it has solved the problem and once the bonnet is shut they are out of sight anyway.
I like Mark's idea but if I wanted to spend £50 or so I would rather do it on something more easy to appreciate.

OK, here's the first itteration of the strut top cap.
As you can see, I've incorporated some ventalation holes so not to seal in any moisture which would only promote corrosion.
Next move is to pop a nice embossed '500' logo on it.

Mark, I can't tell from that picture without any dimensions but, looking at it I guess that it will be an interference fit over the concave washer then.
I wasn't sure how it would be located, my original thoughts were that there would be a threaded hole in the centre that would allow it to be screwed onto the strut threads and maybe held in position with loctite or similar.
Looks very neat though and I think that from the reponses on here you could be looking at quite a few for the initial batch.

Yes in section it will look like this, there is a recess for the edge of the strut top to locate onto.

Oooh! I needed some nipple covers
Did look at those but the strut thread sticks above the top of the cup, so the top of the cap needs to be dished by 10mm to make sute that it seat squarely.
