I think that a shorter aerial will probably go unnticed by everyone but you, so I'm not sure it is really personalising it, but if you like it, go for it.

Agreed. Whilst I'm against big modifications for the 500, I don't quite see the point of little things that no one will ever notice :)

£22 for a tax disc holder! it's nothing special either, looks like something you'd find on ebay!

shorter ariel could be good if you think the current one is too long and noticable, but haven't noticed it myself on standard models.

I have the exact same antenna.....you see how shiney and chromey it looks? Well it lasts for less than a week before it gets dull. It also seems to be getting rusty after less than 3 weeks. I'll clean it tonight as it might just need a clean. I'll let you know tomorrow.

I have the same tax disc holder as well, but there were no sticky pads in the one I got so its sellotaped to the windscreen temporarily.

How much was the spoiler? I considered lowering it but don't want to ruin the ride because I've already got 16" alloys

I have 16" alloy wheels, and I have lowered my car 30mm with Eibach springs and I don't think its too bad.

I've modified my car further with a new exhaust system, changed the headlight bulbs and day light bulbs, added the Fiat 'bodykit', tinted the windows further and put some nice shiny abarth alloys on.

All of which i really do think are subtle and not over the top.

Do you mind me asking with which ones. The existing lights are pants IMHO and I'd like to get something a bit brighter

TIA.

I've replaced my aerial with a shorter metal one. It's a dull metal, not too blingy, and I've had numerous people ask me about it as they wanted one but didn't want to pay a lot.

It was £1 from Poundland :D

I've also put some retro vinyls on my wings where the Italian flag badge would normally go

I popped a stuby aerial on the wifes 500, but the radio signal was awful, so it only lasted a week!

@ plophole - Thanks, could you possibly pop up a link to the bulbs you mention, as I'm not too clever with 'electric's:eek:

I got myself a shorter aerial for my Sport - only because the old one hits the garage door if i reverse in :(. However i didn't got for one of the short cheap metal ones, got myself on eBay and looked for a proper 8" VAG (Volkswagen/Audi) aerial as fitted to their new models... It has improved the reception and is noticed quite often... take a look at one of these if you're still interested :)
