New to this car so I notice it all. 1.2L 2014.

Had a feeling the engine is a bit rough. This can't be right.

On stop lights (manual transmission BTW) the engine will suddenly Grrrrrrrrrrrr, then it goes away.

This morning I started the car and it died after 1 second (did tha Grrr and died). Started it again and it's fine.

Any direction?

I took this video but it's not very good but I think you can here the Trerrrrrrr sound a bit

UPDATE:

Not sure I am correct about this - but I think maybe this has to do with the RADIATOR FAN? Could it be that when it kicks into action (AC on, very hot here) it makes the entire car shake?

Or am I way off?

get M E S software diagnostics done to see if you have any fault codes stored in the E C U,s if clear then look for something physical fan is one thing also look at bottom exhaust pipe support bracket, engine mounts, drop links etc whilst underneath push/pull everything to see if anything is loose , if you find anything post a reply!

MES is multi ece scan -a software program specifically designed for fiats generic obd readers usually cant dig deep enough into the system to give you accurate results no harm in trying i guess but if unsuccessful there is a list of members who are willing to help on the home page! what is your locaton please then i can have a look and let you know who is closest to you!.

Appreciate that!

I am in Israel so quite far :)

So I would like to update this thread.

Total new to this BTW.

I did a Throttle Body clean yesterday (in a very armature way) and the shaking TOTALLY GONE!!!

I was blown away this morning when driving the car.

PS - I was quite worried because I did a rookie mistake and when cleaning the dust I did manage to get some of it into the hole post-throttle body (which I assume next is the engine itself - it's the head, right? it goes to the valves area)? So i was worried and did my best to try and absorb most of it but I am assuming I didn't get all. So I thought the engine might explode when I fire it up :)
