I'm very excited. It's a diesel y'know:)(y);)

It's amazing how such things produce such big grins...! You were dancing around like a young schoolboy, this morning... -- and I don't blame you...! :D

This is such a great find; and I can vouch for the fact that not only is it great looking, in the flesh; but it also sounds rather yummy, too. (I've always had a soft spot for diesels....) :yum:

Will be interesting to see how this feeds into VmanC's cunning thoughts about putting different engines and 'boxes into the front of Panda-based vehicles, in the future....

Ha! As good as some VW engines are I think the choice amongst the FIRE variants is probably sufficient. But you never know :D

now that is nice.. love to have a look around and under it.. compare engine mounting points to the fire engines.

man i'd love to make project fallout a diesel, but keep it a 4x4. sadly without major mods i do not think it is possible.

always wanted a diesel car.. but to get a diesel powered panda.. that is also a 4x4. now that would be a dream come true!

Very nice van! I really want one of these, either as a van for work or to convert into a camper. Was this the one that's been up for sale in Bedford for a while?
Not sure about the parts situation, might be worth exploring Italian and Spanish companies as they had more of them over there! Good luck with it (y)

Yeah I think it's the one that has been advertised for ages.
I just sent a message with a bid and said I didn't wan't to see it and wouldn't quibble after I'd paid.

Turns out it's actually not bad.

Goes to show you what bad photos in an advert can do! I didn't bother with it as it looked a bit ropey but it looks great in your photos (y) is it going to be Green or Black ;)

Is there an obvious source of parts light rear door hinges and rear lights that I haven't found yet.?
Any clues would be a bonus

I'll PM you the details of a Seat dealer I stumbled across a few years ago who was really helpful when my local branch were useless. He got me some hinge parts and rear lens and was a very decent chap. Might have run out by now but worth trying. For anyone else interested in looking it up the dealer was Westerham Seat; can't remember the location off hand.

Gloss, matt or satin?

Have a bit left over from the other project then?

Presumably you've learned your lesson and won't be relocating the fuse box? :D

Gloss I think. Yes you are so right.............. As the fuse box is alrready under the bonnet I will miss this humiliation..................... Thanks for reminding me..........

Wow I can't believe that I haven't laid a rubber gloved finger on the 'Green Neglected One' since about August.

I treated myself to playing, for a couple of chilly hours tonight.

Last time I had just put the third moddified wiring loom on and then got distracted.

Well having put some power through it most things seem to work.
Still doing a bit of cutting and soldering but it is looking promising..

No I haven't tried the wipers yet:eek:

well get back onto the green neglected one, I have been waiting since august for an update!! And I want a full view of the car photo!! :)

I'm on the case. Strange how i seem to get more work done on cold nights than warm ones.

Well I am very pleased to say that we have 98% electrics:p And can you believe 'Wipers':slayer:

There are a couple of panel light issues, I don't think I have the reverse light yet (I need to get underneath and see if there is a switch.!) and I did follow some of the loom behind the drivers seat and find three ends...! But hey I'll just connect them up to something.

Saturday night is curry night so hopefully Sunday night I can actually screw the dash in for the first time. Like so many parts on this car the dash has never been attached to this Panda before.

At this point I'd like to remind everyone that this project wouldn't even have got off the ground were it not for the forum and I suspect that almost every part other than the body shell, engine and gearbox has at some point rested in Pandasports garage prior to being donated.

Thanks all:worship:
