No contest folks the 500 has the other two well beaten, the only draw back would be the 2 doors.

Having owned a Panda Sporting and now the 500, honest they are chalk and cheese.

The I10 is a nice little car, with all the gadgets you would ever want + the 5 year warranty.

I'd drive all 3.

p.s. Daughter says nothing better than her 100hp (sheesh women).

It all depends how much you value the looks and the interior? Personally I was happy to go for a Panda but the wife didn't like the looks of it and hated the interior even more.

had a hire Nissan Pixo(Suzuki Alto) for the last two days and was longing for my Panda all the time.
The Pixo is supposedly in the same class as the Panda and i10 but it was horrible. It's a cheap Aygo knock-off with pop out rear windows like the aygo and a triple engine.
The biggest dislikes I had were:
The enigne is a triple and sounds horrible. No torque.
I absolutely hated revving it as the sound was so unpleasant.
Boot is shockingly tiny - not even large enough for my small backsack and the parcel shelf wouldn't stay in place.
Instrument binnacle doesn't present enough info.
Ride was harsh.
Buttons on head unit was poorly arranged.
Speakers were very poor(Panda is better)
No glove box.
Tiny door pockets.
No headrests

If you are buying a car for yourself and don't need to carry passengers too often it's hard to look beyond a Panda; it's a lovely rewarding drive.

The Panda and i10 appear to be where the market is at. If I had to carry people regularly the i10 would probably be the better bet but as it's just me it's the Panda for me.
The issue for me with the 500 is that it's a Panda with fewer doors, inaccessible rear seats and 2 or 3K added to the price. I love the look but I just couldn't justify a 500 to myself.

I would recommend the 1.2 dynamic. It's a good compromise between price and power. I think with good petrol quality you'll discover a good feeling. But I can't say better than give them all a try to see how they react against your expectations.

I personally didn't like the 1.2 Panda because it was gutless, and far too quiet. However, the 1.2 500 is very different. The 500 has 69bhp so performance is considerably better and it also sounds much better. The Panda 100HP is a lot faster than both of those, but is quite thirsty.

The i10 gets 76bhp out of its 1.2 and still manages to qualify for the £30 UK VED band.

Plus if you're sitting inside it you're not looking at the outside of it ;)

THe twinair engines are meant to be pretty good so whilst a Panda might not be up to the challenge now and a 500 is too expensive the new Panda might be a good bet :)

The 1.2 500 is seriously slow. Yes it feels torquey initially but put your foot down and not much happens at the top end. There's still only so much 69bhp can do and it's not a lot really.

Personally after 1 year owning the little panda i still love the car. I have plenty of experience with the 8v fire engine and 60hp is more than enough for me. I've done plenty of motorway driving always above 65mph even climbing, no problems with overtaking and so much fun to drive! I know that i've chosen the best car for the money even if its not as fast as the 78hp i10 or as elitist as the 500. With an average of 5,0l per 100km driving some times above speed limits and having fun the only thing i could wish was to have the multijet because here in Portugal the diesel is almost 20% cheaper than petrol!

About this time last year I was looking to buy a new small car, and went through all the likely suspects, taking into consideration price, running costs, and warranty etc..
My initial preference, being a Fiat fan since 1986 (Uno) was for a Panda, but I put that to one side and had a look at the competition. Wont bore you with detail, but in the end, there were two in the running - the Panda 1.2 Eco and the Hyundai i20. I recall concluding that if I bought with my head, the choice would have to be the Hyundai, better equipped and so on. On the other hand, if I bought with my heart, the Panda was the obvious choice. (y)
Heart won and I don't regret it!:D

Buying with the heart can quite often end in heart ach and break..not recomended if you want reliability etc..

Had a brouse at Chevy Spark (I think it was) yesterday in local shopping centre.

5 years / 100k warrentee
5 years / 100k free servicing
5 years / 100k free MOT (obviously after 3rd year), and if it fails they sort it free (unless its things like tyres)

And that across the range apparently, and is transferable to 2nd/3rd owners of the car.

What with Toyota now doing 5 years / 100k warrentee's, looks like Fiat have some fast catching up to do imo.

5 years / 100k warrentee
Pfft. Hyundai 5 year warranty has unlimited mileage!

For a no-hassle reliable go-to-the-shops car the i10 is seriously compelling.
The level of spec on the base model is such that you don't have to bother with any options.

Had Fiat cars since 1986 and, so far had only good experience. Without exception each of my cars has performed well, proved reliable with reasonable running costs and coped with the demands of a growing family. Also, until recently, there wasn't a job I couldn't successfully tackle myself, although I admit that nowadays I will need to take it to the experts for all but the mundane aspects of servicing. Yes - I bought with the heart, but secure in the knowledge that the head would also be rewarded. Maybe I've just been lucky eh?
