Hope you have come right. i had a similar problem about two months back. I took the heat exchanger out and cleaned everything very well including the gasket. I coated the gasket with copper gasket sealer. i then assembled it and left it to cure overnight. I have since done about 5000 km with it and I have had no issues.
"I already have a different gasket, it is a bit thick, and I won't be able to add sealant there anymore. I need another gasket, which I can't find anywhere.
