Seicento My 2.0 16v Seicento Project

Introduction

As most of you already know i was thinking of creating a 2.0 16v fiat seicento......looking at the conversion, its already causing a few issues and wont be straight forward... but im still giving it a go!!

I need to work out how to get the hub / drive shaft combo sorted.... brake callipers + lines need to be worked out, and then the most important, keeping the rear end on the floor when braking!! as i didnt realise how light these cars are with nothing in the rear...

Ive got a T reg seicento sporting with 12months MOT and 6 Months tax, so this is a good base to get started on.

So far the car has been gutted, and im in the process of cutting out the wiring i wont be needing.

Im off on a 300 mile round trip tomorrow to pick the engine up, and then the battle of fitting it in will begin!
ooOOoo get you with your fancy words, you just made that up..

Parallax is an apparent displacement or difference of orientation of an object viewed along two different lines of sight, and is measured by the angle or semi-angle of inclination between those two lines.
Erm ok, you win

Heres an update of where i am with the trimming... Ive never done it before so be gentle lol...

Also ive now sorted my throttle problem out.. this was done by fitting the early XE 2.0 16V TPS sensor to match the loom + Ecu... No more bunny hopping for me :D

It meant i had to swap the complete butterfly plate over.. they are both the same as you can see by the pics other than the spacing of the TPS mounting screws... The one i fitted was the one with the larger adjustable TPS on, and its done the trick... i now have full throttle :D

ooh and the mashed bit of the dash covering is fine... ive got the original (modified) pod to refit there so it will cover the messy part... (couldnt be avoided as i trimed the dash in one piece)

i thought he meant he was putting the standard dash pod on that bit to tidy it up.. thus having more space for guages, perhaps i just misread it.

From what I can gather the original pod will be used to report things like lights, indicators, fuel and the time and the Vaux digi-dash will do everything else, so the original speedo will just be sitting at 0mph all the time.

That's my take on it anyway.

lol, there was going to be a vacuum guage and a pointless reverse camera sat in the pod, for some comical car show days.... i say 'was' as the car is going to be up for sale in the next few days... Ive had some good news with my partner and need the money thats been invested in the fiat.

Think il be buying another fiat, maybe something along the 1242 route.

As for the indicators around the standard pod, the digital dash now takes care of all that.
