I've done a hell of a lot to my new-to-me Abarth 500c, but unfortunately done a lot of it since it was last on the road 2.5 weeks ago.

At that point, I'd replaced the NSR caliper and bled the system, and changed the brake sensor due to the ESP/Hill hold error on-screen. That removed the error and I'm 99% sure that hill hold was working at that point.

I no longer have that error, or anything similar showing in MultiEcuScan, but the hill hold just isn't cutting in, on steep or mild gradient.

I took a video to understand the mechanism for engaging the switch on a RHD car, and it looks mechanical so don't think any wiring changes I've done (new stereo, new subwoofer, Fiat alarm, dashcam hardwire) will have affected that. I charged the (new) battery overnight too. Brake lights working fine.

Is there any way of measuring/testing within MultiECUScan? My only other thought is whether the Android radio CANBUS box is messing with something else.

Thanks

Took it out again today after putting on charge again overnight. I managed to get hill hold to work the first time I tried, but after then, no dice.

I've read that it's not particularly sensitive on these cars, but could it be anything alternator related or similar?
