Technical Hill holder light and MOT

My hill holder not working light sometimes comes on when the car is started from cold. Turn the engine off and restart and it normally goes out.

Car is in for an MOT on 18 November, will it fail if this warning light stays on during the MOT test?

Is the battery a reputable brand as really cheap battery's tend not to agree with modern Fiat's as they rely heavily on the batteries for the power steering, canbus systems etc, could also be a bad earth strap.

All’s well that ends well! Car passed it’s MOT with just one advisory - slight misting on a front shocker. Chuffed as not bad for a 2009 car at 98k

I’ll change the shockers shortly, should I stick with OEM or go with something else?

Monro are the original makers and MUCH cheaper than Fiat/ Mopar. They are very good too.

If the cars your daily driver & the rest of the car is standard I'd stick with OEM or OEM equivalent, I probably don't have to tell you as it's common sense but change the dampers as a pair as some people will only change 1, it's probably also worth checking the condition of the top mounts, springs etc whilst you've got them off, that's not bad for a 15 year old Panda with that mileage.

I would no more change one shocker than I’d change one tyre (unless the other was in excellent condition, and then it would be the same brand)
