Recently had lots of suspension work done new shockers and various other stuff (ball joint, springs perhaps)
The ABS warning light has just come on solidly. In fairness to the garage who did the work the ABS fault light wasn't on for quite a number of weeks after the work was done (somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks perhaps, I don't have the details to hand) so perhaps it's a sensor fault (hoping it's not the ABS unit!)
Will a generic cheapie OBD scanner tell me where the fault is or do I need to have somone to use a MultiEcuScanner?
I don't know at this point if it's font or rear, can the front and rear sensors be accessed replaced by jacking up and wheel removal? I ask because on a video on fiat usa he disconnected the shocker at the rear to access the sensor.
Thanks all and HAPPY NEW YEAR !

If you can find a reader or scanner that will talk to the ABS system and produce a valid code then it should point you to the correct corner. Failing that there might be a Fiat Forum member in your area with a copy of MES that could read it for you

Most are just Engine scanners

Sometimes the Meanings are for VW.. Or Honda

You ideally want the Full Code and type it into the Search on here

Worth nothing the US 500 is quite different
200kg heavier, so has a 1.4 turbo motor

I can Imagine it would have
" better brakes" also 😉

Thanks, does anyone know if both front and rear sensors can be accessed/replaced only by axle stands, wheel removal (and removing arch liner at front?) without further dismantling?
oh...and Happy New Year...almost

I did check the list expecting there to be someone fairly near, but surprisingly I didn't see anyone.. but thanks for the suggestion.
