Ok so this is odd and don’t have a scanner myself.

Today started the car and it felt a little rough but then seemed normal, got to just up the road and check engine light, limp mode, turned it off then back on and still the same, carried on with journey and it stalled, started it then came home.

I whipped the airbox off, started car and removed ignition lead 1, car went super lumpy as expected, car off lead back in and done this process for all four.

Put it all back together and car was smooth, went for a drive and yeah perfect again.

I then thought that we’ve had this issue before and sure enough I posted about it here and it happened in 2021, then it happened in 2022 and posted it here, then nothing until today. Back in 2021 or 2022 I had a friend scan it with something and it was multiple misfires detected

It’s a 1.2 2009, earth strap replaced few years back and spark plugs changed (as it was time)

I’m suspecting it’s either ignition leads or coil, I would say it’s once a year problem but had nothing in the last 3 years

Just weird, anyone else had similar?

Hmm it done it again today.

So multiecuscan is probably best but will it scan & clear codes on the free version? Looks like licensed version is only valid for 12 months or so
