Technical Side Repeater Light not working - how to fix ?

UPDATE : Took car around to my local 'leccie, now that the weekend has passed without me being able to resolve the problem - he immediately gently tugged on the wires and - lo & behold - the positive pulled straight out, exhibiting a simple break ! Never get any power through that (see foto) !

No idea why the wire could have physically broken - odd really !

I would like to just rejoin wire myself but wires run though a rubber grommet in high footwell and this doesn't seem to be directly opposite the repeater hole in the wing, making it difficult to feed wires through for rejoining. Time to pass the job to my 'leccie, who says he's fixed a lot worse !

So, hopefully, a fix can be done, to pass MoT - meantime, biig thanks for all help & suggestions!

Good that you've found what's wrong with it and you're having it fixed!
And yeap! that's step no. 2 into diagnosing it, after (step 1) you make sure there's no voltage on the bulb's end, you wiggle the wire to discover if it has a shortcut or it's broken and to get to its other end and measure if there is 12V feed. You do that till you find where the problem lays. 'Follow the River'.
