Technical FiatEcuScan diagnostic software

It's almost impossible to recommend a lead or interface on eBay because so many sellers are selling cloned items that have been proven not to work at all or without some internal modification.

As far as I'm aware, the only company selling ones that are guaranteed to work without needing any soldering of wires or modification is Gendan. They sell a set of leads, adaptors and a genuine ELM v1.4 interface as in this link:

http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FESHW.html#product_information

Or... the complete kit of leads, adaptors, ELM v1.4 interface and the registered version of FES that enables you to connect and use all the functions of FES here:

http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FESPKG.html

There's also a lot of information about about the leads and what modifications are required to them on Yani's FES forum here:

If the car's fitted with the alarm, surely it shouldn't need activating?
Indeed, but I was referring to when NOT fitted.

It's been discussed at length and the general view is it's not possible (?)

Since Examiner can't activate Cruise Control but ECUScan can then does it follow future releases may manage even more amazing feats :chin:

it does make you wonder....

i havnt purchased it yet, but the addition of cruise control is making me want to buy it....if i were to purchase the full version, is there a "simple" solution to be able to use all the features? (as in interface wise?)....bearing in mind i have a fully fledged pc sitting in my glovebox.

EDIT:
it seems that to be able to do EVERYTHING id have to either purchase an OBDkey (expensive!!!) or a VAGcom and an ELM 327 interface....sound about right, or have i misunderstood it?

Ahhh.... sorry, I must have missed that discussion.

Not sure whether it's something Yani can add, but I've never seen any posts in the "Feature Requests" section of his forum for it.

That's interesting. I did not think that anyone will need "alarm activation". I don't have alarm system on my car and if I had I would probably search for a way to disable it. It is simply annoying.
Anyway, I think I know how to activate it. I activated it on my Stilo when I was exeprimenting with the Cruise Control activation, but the only result of the Alarm activation was: 3 stored errors in Body Computer (Tilt sensor error, Ultrasound sensor error and Siren error) and of course the message "Alarm failure" on the dashboard display every time I start the car.
So, if anyone wants to experiment with this just send me a PM or email...

Yani, I'm stunned yet again.

I log time back I fitted all the alarm modules to my car and then spent an hour with Examiner trying to activate the feature but it was a complete failure :( This was also the view of the main dealership and other specialist Fiat outlets - and yet it looks like you may have solved it :worship:

I have fiat bravo 99 JTD 105HP, i also have galletto USB-OBD cable and fiat 3pins connector to OBD cable, can i use both so i can read engine codes and ABS codes with fiatecuscan? I have used them for ecu remapping....

Can anybody tell me if you can activate the steering wheel audio controls with proxy alignment with FiatEcuScan 2.6 ?

It's shown in the list of NODES so probably yes.

There's an updated version 2.6.1 available from Yani's website that fixes a few problems with v2.6.
