In mes software you can carry out tests on clutch solenoid valves etc
What is the test for the start up enable relay
And pump motor test are they both tests for the hydraulic pump one motor one relay

So if anyone with the pre lift can provide any information on this relay for the pump to this thread I think just about everything has been covered

But has I say from 2009 to 2014 rhd i cant find any information on the relay location
I 100% don’t have one unless it’s hard wired
I have the pump fuse but no relay I hear no clicking in the multiecuscan test either just the pump kicks in
Very strange
Strange indeed. The picture in entry #99 is for the pre-facelift models and so are the attachments below. The diagram shows the relay in the circuit between fuse and pump. The last part of the text is related to the startup-enable relay.

I totally understand and I have this diagram myself but when I did the facelift I had the fuse box out and had to drop it for the new headlights to fit
Last week to double check the relay location when asked it’s location by someone doing the facelift that also has issue with the selespeed
I can not find one in my x250
So I used the multiecuscan to carry out the tests once executed I hear the pump motor kick in but no relay enable so my understanding it’s been hardwired
I have noticed MANY modifications have been carried out by previous owners including egr and dpf delete among many others so maybe it’s been wired
I have a spare relay sent to me by sequ parts that I did a favour and sent them a spare harness for them to copy to start making them so they treated me with some parts clutch position sensor the relay and gear sensor I got a great deal on Evo solenoid valve so changed everything when changed all fluids I basically wanted to service the robot I now have the accumulator to do them all complete but left the relay

What I will do this week is lift the fuse board up because it’s got a hinge on it I noticed that can lift up so maybe it’s actually under this part with all the wires
Just strange how I can hear no clicking sound like I can hear when use mes for fan 1 and 2 you hear the relay click ?

I have read tho you can hard wire ?
Also reading what you posted above about engine starting is only allowed with brake pedal pressed switch registers foot on pedal to start for relay
But you can start without the brake pedal if in neutral
Foot on brake is only needed when in gear

But looking at fuse f26 that’s the fuse I pulled when depressurised the system but let me have a good look this week
Maybe the relay isn’t clicking because it’s not working ? But again the pump motor wouldn’t work

Let me have a good read it’s not something I’ve looked into. The pump motor or relay I’ve not had issues with but I got told when doing a service if 10 years old to change relay and accumulator and fluids and seals filter and your good

Thanks for posting tho 👍 any information I’m trying to display on the thread and YouTube the feedback has been brilliant it’s really helping so many people around the world like me saving big money when you get told needs new robot and clutch it’s hard to grasp
But thanks to who has helped on this thread posting solid feedback and information
Great work

I think if I follow the wires from the pump that will lead me to the relay in question

@Seanwinder22 has your Selespeed chap ever mentored a filter in the pump. You'd think that it would have...
Yes mate this is among what to service I was just talking about this with a member
A filter is in the pump it’s not something I have done myself but he’s got a video on it

What he does for a living is you take the robot off and post it to him which he changes seals filter accumulator etc and carries out tests on many other parts

how much is found in the filter when it's cleaned...
I’m guessing they get blocked buddy
He said this
Best to do is take it out leave it in Ali clearner overnight then power wash it held on the end of the jet wash gun dry and if you can now blow through It it’s good to go. You can get new but they come in a kit and are over £60

Good info. Thanks.

Here’s a good one the garages say about dark or black dot 4 saying the slave is failing and big issues have started

But what they don’t tell you is In the master there is a special white grease that lubes the seals , the dot 4 turns it blackish, however if the fluid is totally black back bleed for fresh fluid… but if concentric has done 100k plus then yes the seals in concentric may be braking down. But the clutch would be playing up.

Just a little update on my van since I did everything myself with the no gear situation
So since changing the clutch position sensor and Evo solenoid been no issues
I keep testing data is mes just to check sensors etc are good and everything has relearn
One thing I noticed today even tho gears changing great
Clutch seems great
But in parameters I am noticing
Selection solenoid valve says not active
Which I would have thought this would going up and down with gears selected
Can anyone check please if it’s the same

Can anyone test the comfortmatic that has no issues to see if this goes up or down please

Since the work I did I have no issues driving at the moment but did notice
Selection solenoid valve says not active
Up or down in gears which I would have thought this would register

Just goes to show tho from my own testing over the winter what you can find out
£1500 I was quoted a new clutch kit
But it was clutch sensor and evo solenoid

I did have issue with the gear sensor also
Which all these sensors are in the area below the air box shuttle leak 🤷🏼‍♂️ even the rpm sensor
But this one may be nothing ,, but from my experience every solenoid or sensor does show on mes doing something and this one doesn’t
Selection solenoid valve not active ??

I can't find that parameter at all in the parameter list for my MES 4.8 so I assume it was added with some later program version. What does the help text (yellow window on right hand) say about it? Perhaps it is EV 3, my version only shows odd and even gears selection valves (EV1 - EV2) and clutch valve (EV 0).

(For what it's worth: for the selection solenoid valve parameters my MES version does have (odd and even gears), the readings are 0 mV with engine off and no gear change in progress. During gear changes while driving, I have recorded currents up to 1470 mA for both).

Thanks mate yes mine do the same for odd gears etc but noticed this one and worried me a little 😂
I will check the window see what it says
