Styling Does the new 2011 Micra look like a 500 !! ??

What about the audi A1 is chic, desirable or trendy? Both the mini and the 500 have a history (whether you buy into it or not) but I dont see how the Audi links into that. The Citroen DS3 maybe, but not the A1.

A1 is just a small car with Audi styling.

Maxi do you still have that "Audi cars" front profile picture - the one where they all look the same ? worth posting that again for a laugh. A2 doesn't fit the mould though.

There had been criticism of the cars out there in the small market segment in that few of them are appealing. The Mini for me now in its 2nd re-incarnation had lost its appeal. The 500 speced up is pricey and I would question its re-sale value in years to come. My experience in Ireland had been that a '08 1.4 Sport was of the same re-sale value as a '08 1.2 Pop. If you were in the market for something different and upmarket - the A1 could tick 'that box'. That said I wouldn't be buying one. I would have though that the Citroen DS3 was in a different price segment but I have taken a 'double take' at the DS3 Racing. At least Audi didn't try and copy somebody else's design. I understand that the designer of the Nissan Micra got his inspiration from the Fiat 500 (unfortunately I can’t find the article ) just as the designers of the MX5 got their inspiration from the Lotus Elan (this has been clearly documented).
