Off Topic consequences of not servicing!!!!!

If they persist then i just slow right down, i won't be scared or rushed by anyone.

This, annoy them into overtaking. And then pull up behind them at the next set of lights anyway: rolleyes:
Usually pointless overtaking except on a motorway, in my experience, unless you're behind something so slow you could overtake within the speed limit.

He's saying he 'brake tests' them though, which is slamming the brakes on..

Try entering the real world of driving instead of concentrating on your push pull of the steering wheel and all an advanced driver is a test that says you drove to the standard required by them for the hour and a half  not hard lets face it!!!!

I drive to the conditions as required..

Put your money where your mouth is and get on with it then.(y)

just haven't got much time for it that's all, in my opinion the only advanced drivers on the road are those that also ride motorbikes most cage drivers don't know their arse from their elbow and that includes the advanced ones.

mind if you tell me your also a biker i'll take it back.(y)

Fair enough if that's your view I'm not going to waste my time and yours trying to change it.

I had a scooter for a year if that counts?

Money where mouth is hmmmm ok done advanced defensive driving to get my chauffeurs licence for who i would have to chauffer round, many rally driving courses to the point where it was an old back injury that stopped me going to pro level, did 2 years nationwide courier m/bike riding without any incident,my driving test examiner said i should consider going thru to be an examiner myself as we have been friends for years and he still says i should go and do it,i also trained brand new moped riders all the way thru direct access and then take them to test station and i had a 98% pass rate is that any good for you?

i only use brake testing as in the meaning of flicking brake lights on and ive still got right foot on accelerator same position so i dont even loose 1mph (y) so its not dangerous in anyway apart from making the idiots heart miss a few beats when they see your brake lights flick on :D

I think we've crossed wires..;)

I think I took you using the term brake testing literally and you took it the wrong way.

My GP seems to have a little play on the pedal where I can display the lights but not brake so yes I do that too.

And at the end of the day if that doesn't work just pull over and let them past - It's much easier to control your safety with the BMW/Audi etc in front of you than behind you.(y)

Doombooth, get a grip lol. He had clearly explained himself already, saying that he only do it to flicks the brake light on.

On an over-servo car like a GP , that's probably impossible, but in a driver's car like a cento, you can do it without actually slowing down the car.

Don't you just love it, as soon as there is a topic about driving, you get a sudden non-cento owner start commenting .....

Not what he originally said though..

Not impossible because I've done it.

I don't come in this section but as it appeared in LL and driving safely is something I'm passionate about I thought I'd like to comment, is there a rule I haven't seen about this?

To be fair, this is in LL due to being prefixed 'Off Topic' so more folk will see it.

Enough of the bitching now folks, what started as debate about poor servicing has taken the wrong tangent. Don't make this the first thread I have to lock! :p
