Well its exactly as i said its down to the other drivers not paying enough attention whilst driving and thats their own fault and if they want to try and hang on my arse at speed i WILL brake test them and scare the **** out of them and if they hit me its their insurance that will have to pay out.
As the police say anyone going up the back end of anything else is either travelling too fast for the road conditions or travelling too close in which case that person is too blame once i was sitting at a set of red lights on my motorbike next thing i knew i was catapulted across the junction from behind,99% of crashes are the humans fault

dont be so confident with this, 9 years ago i was rear ended. a long story short, insurers went to court, mine lost, because it was deemed as my car wasnt straight in the road it was deemed as an obstruction so i got the blame. despite being sat there... with brake lights on. stopped. in clear view.

Is someone elses poor driving really worth risking their life, your life and possibly the life of other people in the area? No, no its not. Better to just increase the gap inbetween you and the vehicle in front, so you can allow them extra time to apply the brakes. When I see people do it it annoys me nearly as much as people accelerating when they're being over taken on single carriageway,[FONT=&quot] absolutely[/FONT] no call for it at all.

To the OP - Whats the chance he sells it to some other poor sod? Its sad people can't even do a simple oil change to look after their car

It's not safe to tailgate, but it's equally unsafe to 'brake test' with a tailgater attached to your backend.

I dont actually slow the car im still on the accelerator i just dab the brake pedal to flick the brake lights on and you get plenty of people like that in london who think they can out accelerate a little car and squash it out the way.
there is no chance of him selling it on as it is as the vehicle has been taken as it was with cam cover off as he didnt want anymore charge for it and said leave as is so we did so any potential buyer will see the sludge

im with andycinq on that, i get plenty of bmws and vw/audis tailgating me and i would go to the end of the earth to 1 up them, slow at junctions to annoy em

recently some big bmw flipped me off as he over took me on a bend (idiot) i wasnt slowing down on him at that point but he wouldnt look at me when i got out the car to his window at the lights....

And fair enough then - I had visions of you going full out emergency stop in the outside lane of a dual carriageway or similar... As for slow at junctions... Thats fair game

READ POSTS BEFORE COMMENTING and to be honest i couldnt careless if ur an advanced driver.ive been driving since i was 8 nearly 40 years now and only had 2 crashes that have been my fault and that was when i first started driving and anyone who says they have NEVER tailgated i would call a liar....everyone has done it at some point in their life i know I HAVE and quite happily put my hands up to it.....

Sounds like slamming your breaks on to me.

I religiously don't tailgate - why bother getting angry about someone not wanting to go faster than you want to?

i do exactly what andy does, flash of brake light usually makes people back off.. I'm not so stupid as to slam on and neither is Andy.

If they persist then i just slow right down, i won't be scared or rushed by anyone.

And of course the wink and blow a kiss to them if they get really irate. So many people in such a hurry to arrive 30seconds earlier than if they drove sensibly.
