what's the code
what's the code
An auto electrician has now said it could be the seatbelt socket?what's the code
Or possibly need a new one of these?Could be any connection or wiring in the whole airbag/restraint system, or one of the sensors themselves, more likely wiring though.

Occupant protection system
The occupant protection electronics optimizes the protection of vehicle occupants against injuries in collisions, as well as in case the vehicle rolls over.www.bosch-mobility.com
So check under the seats and around any other airbag...... the new steering wheel noise could be a clue because of the airbag (and obviously wiring) there
Doubtful, that'll probably just detect (along with a seat pressure sensor) that a passenger is or isn't wearing his/her seatbelt. (just like the drivers)Or possibly need a new one of these?
It's going back to the used car dealer a week on Monday and they will diagnose it. I give up trying now as no one can diagnose it.Doubtful, that'll probably just detect (along with a seat pressure sensor) that a passenger is or isn't wearing his/her seatbelt. (just like the drivers)
Look on a Battery siteAnd when I put my reg in to GSF and Euro none of them sizes come up lol

Think a Fiat MultiEcuscan will give more details? That is the diagnosis....
The B0111 is a standard Body code - Side impact module-Left Rear high and/or low circuits is short to ground or short to voltage
The -64 just narrows it down further and is fiat specific......so I've not much info on that code extension apart from the attached pic.
To say they've never heard of it doesn't say much of their experience.....
just keep your receipt. You have the the battery we have on our 14reg car Its 3 yrs old now and still does what it did new. A reasonable choice and the one I would buy.Thank you. So I got the Yuasa, see above.
Do I circle with marker the date of installation on the back of the battery?
Thank you. There has beensome talk of a 500ortwo with similar. The affected sensor was behind the front seatbelt reel. Best let the warranty sort it. They will probably get a specialist to do it. Let them play with the pyrotechnics!
The decent scan tool are MultiEcuScan and AlfaOBD. They are 100% trustworthy on FIATs. Looking at the multiecuscan.net website you will find which interface / adapter is required to connect to the airbag module.Airbag light's can be because of a disconnected bag, check the wiring under the seats (if you have seat/saide airbags).
Otherwise a decent scan tool will narrow down which airbag is at fault.
A dealer "narrow down" usually involves an hours labour to use their scan tool, and that doesn't even fix the problem that's unearthed. So a scan tool or the Fiat MultiECUscan can easily pay for itself.
This is NOT a FIAT description, stop messing, please. That is the diagnosis....

I will just leave it for the garage to sort it a week on Monday. This is NOT a FIAT description, stop messing, please.
Yes this means nothing to me. I will let the garage do the work a week Monday. Thank you everyoneThat's FIAT eLearn diagnostic doc for the B0111-64 error.
Assuming it's the correct one, might have been read with a generic scanner.

Chill out , if you read what I wrote: the B0111 is a standard body code, the -64 extension is fiat specific. This is NOT a FIAT description, stop messing, please.
The airbag system is too sensitive and too important to play blind. Or almost blind. Luckily the error is about the side airbag, not the front one, but still, no one wants it to get activated...
…and suggest a possible broken wire. While there are other possibilities, very often (in my experience) the fault turns out to be a poor connection (in any circuit, not just this case), or a voltage issue (either from low battery voltage or corrosion in the contacts if a connector).Chill out , if you read what I wrote: the B0111 is a standard body code, the -64 extension is fiat specific.
The codes/detail you've gained from your elearn system correlate with what I stated.
