Hi all,

I have a Ducati 2.3 with auto climate controls instead of a manual 1-4 turn knob (attachment).

Yesterday while driving noticed the heater was on 75% but not blowing, after 20 minutes it started blowing but in pulses on-off-on-off.

So thinking about changing the heater resistor.
But after exploring some diy videos on youtube never found the same set-up under the dash (passenger) like mine.
The only plug I can disconnect is on the bottom of the heater motor itself (attachment), no plug with resistor at the side.
Do I have to replace the whole motor instead?

Can someone assist me please?

Kind regards

Fiat ducato 250

Hello,

2018 is not the x250, it is the x290 model. Generally it's the same model since 2006, only several faceliftings coming with multiple modifications each, but things can differ, which is the case.

x250 was produced from 2006 to 2014. With a facelift in 2011 (rather 2012 I'd say).

Then major changes came in 2021 and 2023, but I'm pretty sure something was changed also sometime between 2014 and 2021.

There's no workshop manual for the x290 version available in the download section of the forum. FIAT was sellling CDs with the eLearn module (which could be understood as a workshop manual), but it should be compatible with the production year. Later on they moved this to an online service. But again, access to a proper model / year version is required.

I enclose a printout for Euro5 models, that might be of some help. There may of course be differences between this and 2018, but the device does at least look similar, according to what I've seen elsewhere.

If a "new " engine counts sept 2016 was a mjaor change for the diesel engined versions, the 3.0l was dropped and the multijet II was introduced with euro 6 emissions without adblu but with a more complex twin egr dpf system. This lasted until sept 2019 then an adblu 2.3. followed by a 2.2 (jeep origin) followed by a 2.2 followed by ?
