In our 2004 Ducato 244 we are unable to control the cabin heat as it blows warm/hot all the time. I have traced the cable and it disappears into the bulkhead near the heater fan. Has anyone else had this problem? We are way out in British Columbia so there are no Fiat dealers.
Thanks John.

Hi John,

I have not had to deal with that problem, and unfortnately looking at eLearn, it seems as though for repair, you will need to remove the heater.

Others may be able to advise otherwise.

Attached is an extract from x244 eLearn, in which a "tap" is mentioned. I take that as a translation error for "valve".

Fiat eLearn for the x244 runs under Windows, and is available in the "Downloads" section, for which see black banner at top of page.

Thank you for the attachment, just have to figure out how to remove the heater now.

Just done a quick check on eLearn for you. Ther ia an appropriate section, but it is almost completely internal links to other items. Not possible to cut a bit out as previously. Suggest that you look into downloading/purchasing CD for eLearn. Windows computor required.
Sorry, but are you not 8 hours behind UK. 23:00 here, retiring time now.

Thanks, after many trials I was able to load the manuals earlier in the year. I find them a little difficult to navigate.
Cheers.

Mine are on a virtual drive, and as I have SSD hard drive, fairly quick to access. I always remember the phrase used by @Ocwobio . He likened using eLearn to peeling the layers off an onion.

For your present problem try

PROCEDURES - 50 AUXILIARY UNITS -5020 HEATER -5020A BOX AND COMPONENTS-HEATER BOX R+R

It is somtimes surprising what can be found, but you have to be prepared to try various approaches.

Unfortunately printing the electrical diagrams in a packet degrades the definition so much as to make reading difficult. Processing via scalable vector graphics, and than converting to pdf has made a noticeable improvement.

Indeed. And sometimes, one uncovers a radish......
So I'm off on my own wee radish hunt now for wishbone bushes!
