Hello guys, I'm new here and as a previous (04) Panda owner I am desperate to see this new 2012 version, and will most likely purchase one as the last one was so fantastic!

FIAT is doing a great job keeping the new Panda away from the press, it's less than a month before its launch and all we have seen are disguised prototypes, plus a few photoshop mock ups, so far I like the look of it.

Yeah, I meant less than a month until it's shown at the Frankfurt show, sorry.

I really like the new interior its very swish for a Panda. Not that keen on the exterior its a bit too curvy for me. I would like to see what they will do with a sporty version if they make one. Hopefully they will be a proper Abarth version this time. I know Abarths arent known to be powerfull firecrackers but I do wonder how "Abarth" 105 horses will be. I cant see a Panda Abarth having the same power as the 500 as they will clash. I also wonder how much premium a Panda with an Abarth badge would command. Personally I thought the 100HP was pretty expensive.

It seems to take a lot of its design queue's from the Brazilian built Punto. I can't say I'm overwhelmed, although I often seem to change my mind when I see a car in the flesh. As for the interior, the squared off dials give it a bit of a 70's vibe.

I do wonder about the state of Italian automotive design. Bringing things in house might bring economic advantages to a manufacturer but after the Punto 'facelift' disaster and what looks like a only a 'so so' job on the Panda I wonder if the savings justify ignoring people like Guigario.

I had a look at the Alfa Guillieta over the weekend. A lovely looking car from the side and back. The front I find disappointing, particularly when compared to the 156 and 159. The Mito just looks odd. Again, I understand both are in house design efforts.

I agree - the styling is a bit bland and I liked the sharp, boxy nature of the current car. And why do cars always have to get bigger and bigger....... Suspect weight will be over the magic tonne now, which will be a shame.

Can confirm however that 110bhp in a sub-tonne Panda 4x4 definately does fly the Abarth flag in terms of attitude and fun though, so I suspect 105bhp in the new one will be a good option. Might look better with some Abarth aggression in the bodywork too.
