I've just noticed that my kormoman vanpro b3s need replacing.

As I live up a muddy track I need something suitable for off road/muddy conditions.

Can anyone recommend something off road/all terrain that is 175/65 14.

Many thanks.

Sadly, there seems to be very little in the way of 'more off-road' tyres in Panda sizes. Oddly, there is for the older models, either the 'original' 4x4 and the 169 version.

[Later edit - misread your size -- you don't have a 4x4... however...]
The original-fit tyres on the 4x4 were Continental CossContact full Winter tyres - which weren't too bad on mud (they carry the snowy mountain and Mud and Snow markings) but a bit slippery on wet tarmac. I replaced these on my 4x4 with Michelin CrossClimate all-season tyres and actually they're not bad at all on mud (again, M&S and 3PMSF labelled as a mud and winter tyre). The Panda 4x4 Cross editions came from the factory with Goodyear Vector All Season, also rated as a mud and snow tyres.

None of these 'road-biased' all-season tyres have the sidewall durability of a true AT tyre though. Note that full mud tyres tend to have less strong sidewalls than the AT versions... The Landy owners' favourite, the BF Goodridge KO2 AT is a terrific tyre on and off road (although again, prone to being interesting' on wet tarmac -- as I have discovered with another vehicle I get to drive). Not yet available in 15 inch though. My own 2013 Land Rover Defender runs on a new set of the original factory-fitted Continental CrossContact AT , which have proved to be good across very muddy fields and still great on roads in the rain).

Look on Instagram for an account called the panda4x4 - he runs his 169 4x4 on Maxxis Bighorn off-road tyres... the original wheels on that were 14 inch. (https://www.instagram.com/thepanda4x4).. He has also just shoehorned an Abarth engine in there!!

If you don’t mind retreads there are plenty for the Pandas of all years and makes…and they are more readily available in the EU than the UK. One point to note is that you need to go down a size on width otherwise they will foul the sill/arch as their circumference are noticeably larger

Good point - forgot the retread options. However, for me that would depend on how much 'on road' driving is to be done. If the muddy drive is only a few hundred yards but the journeys beyond, several miles, I'd bias towards good road tyres that 'can cope' with a bit of mud but be great on tarmac. Mud tyres are not, and AT's a compromise.

I had some knobbly malatesta on the mk2 4x4 cross and they were also great in the wet, unfortunately they’re were also softer than the crappy continentals, so wear out quicker and were a lot noisier

Hello,

I've chosen Yokohama's Geoladar AT G015 for my Ducato, so checked on their website, but they are not available in the 14" size :(

And probably you've mistyped the size, I assume it should be 175/65 :)
When this subject came up before I think my research suggested that Poland appeared to have a source(s?) of more off-road type tyres @the green vanper am I mis-remembering? Maybe they were not road legal?

I think Poland is right and Italy, but I’ve also seen the Netherlands and Spain…I’d have to look through all my devices to find the links mind

I've tried to check here and there, the problem is 14" rim. And none of the tires I've found for the panda has at least the AT mention. All the AT tires I've found are at least 15".

I could try to help more with some hints. This is not 'my part' of the automotive industry.

Maxsport, Kingsport, Maxxis, Seris, even Demon Tweeks do M&S and road legal rally/race etc tyres all advertised on eBay…there’s also some listed from Lithuania, Italy and some others… all in 175 and 185 in various profiles from 60/65 and some 55, in 13/14/15” rims and in soft, medium and hard compounds and some with reinforced sidewalls

M&S tires are manufactured by all producers I think. Or at least the majority of them. I've got some on my daily non-FIAT & on the Ducato, too (for the time being). They are rather all season tires for eventually light snow. I know a Ducato campervan / MH is much heavier than a Panda, but I've heard lots of stories of fellow campers stuck in sandy / muddy / wet off tarmac roads. That's why my plan is to go for the Geolandar AT.

However the title says 'mud/all terrain', which makes me think rather of an AT tire.
