I knew this would arise due to the "incher" and not a " symbol. I actually wrote, no sexual comments please. But then thought all you decent people wouldn't use it for a cheap laugh

That is the norm for cars built from 1950 onwards! Maybe even before that. If you are thinking of throwing your keys out of the window then make sure that you are stationary first (remember the steering lock?).

My sisters Peugeot 107's brake lights still work after turning the ignition off.
