Grande Punto The story now, and as it continues

Introduction

EDIT Adding this photo from 4/5/2013, and removing all other pics from this first post to remove the 'ugly' ones of my car from its thumbnail ;) Haha. I'll repost this "1st" post later on :)

1st Photo courtesy of benny279. Cheers pal!

EDIT 2: Decided not to repost, did do, but it looked odd. So plain deleted. Old naff standard 1.4 GP Sound on steel trims anyway ;) Not missing much, but the progression can still be seen.
Heres a couple of photo's from yesterdays Midlands Italia (unofficial name) meet at Pizza hut in Coventry Ricoh Arena. Followed by a couple of shots of myself, Dom and Ben at Draycote Water after we left the meet.

Roll on Trafford 14th March!

As long as they are Mcnuggets from McDonalds, i'll take that bet! MITcar is like, what....6 months away. This is do-able, possibly :D

Want to shake on it ysidfa ?

**offers virtual handshake** :chin:

Wisey, I bet you 20 chicken nuggets that the spoiler isnt fitted by MITcar this year ;)

Its on!! *virtual handshake*

just to back ysidfa up the spoiler has to be attached with some sort of perm additive like tiger seal. no fake attachments like sticky tape!

I'm a very lucky lucky boy. Collected my 'little surprise' today. 220 miles later, and a 3 hour journey there that aught to have been an hour 45 mins. Darn M1 traffic! Bumper to bumper :bang: Anyway, going to get it on the car tomorrow/sunday, and wash 'n' wax her. Then the reveal will be Trafford.

And only 1 person knows what it is, shushhh ;)

Im the personall hand shake comminsoner , so i will have to Try taste some of the nuggets to make sure there cooked before giveing you them :p

have you thought about modifing your badge insted of "de badgeing" take the badge apart and paint the insides white :)

and with your alloys on i think it needs to lowered a little more

I suppose sacrificing a nugget or two for the sake of food health and safety is a worthwhile cause ;) Haha.

The badge idea is interesting. I don't know why i haven't not thought of doing something like this sooner, its a possibility. However, currently as they are they are in keeping with my white/black/red theme. Although even in saying this, a white backing on the badge still is keeping to the theme, hmmmm.

In an ideal world, and money permitting i would love to drop her on coilies. However, my driveway wouldn't allow it. I'd also have to remove my mud guards, and i really like them. So lowering further will be a no no. I do plan to get 215/45/17 tyres next time, instead of 205/40/17's that i run now :yuck: So this will help a bit. The tyres on my steelies are 23", running 215's would put them at 23.5" across, as my current 205's are only 22" across. So, 215's FTW :slayer:

Also, with my 'update' to reveal at Trafford it doesn't look like it needs any more lowering right now, because it looks the dogs dangly bits as is

Chufties much? Oh i'd say i have a bad case of the chufties right now haha :D

Yes i'm on Eibach's. The mud guards aren't far from the floor lol. Maybe an inch or two at a guess. Will go out later and measure to be exact. They scrape all the time, up/down some of the bigger speedbumps. Up/down kerbs are a bad idea for me now, and on/off my driveway the fronts scrape ALL the time. I've lost a screw in drivers side already :slayer:

Fronts are lower slightly than the rears, think this is just the design. Its all worth it IMO

I was gonna get some flaps for mine as my car gets dirty so easily now from dirt spraying up from the road as its so low. I realised i'd have the same problem as you except they'd scrape constantly, lol. How's the ride on the 40's tires?

They don't really help, the sides and especially back of my car are like magnets for dirt no matter how I seem to drive. They do make the car look pretty low profile and awesome from behind though :p

Yeah they make the car look so low and phat from behind. Its awesome, i love it! Tempted to remove my cheap £6 chrome exhaust tip too. Makes the car look even better now with the mudgaurds IMO. Not to mention its cheap and tacky anyway.

I don't find the ride any different to be honest to running standard 15 trims on chunky 175/65/15 tyres tbh. I'm actually running 45's currently ;) Going to replace with 215/45/17's next time around, as the 205/40's are a tad small. Plus my clocks don't quite read right currently. All the photo's up to now show my 205/40's. Not had any photo's yet with the 45's.
