Grande Punto The story now, and as it continues

Introduction

EDIT Adding this photo from 4/5/2013, and removing all other pics from this first post to remove the 'ugly' ones of my car from its thumbnail ;) Haha. I'll repost this "1st" post later on :)

1st Photo courtesy of benny279. Cheers pal!

EDIT 2: Decided not to repost, did do, but it looked odd. So plain deleted. Old naff standard 1.4 GP Sound on steel trims anyway ;) Not missing much, but the progression can still be seen.
Insurance renewal came through the other day. They wanted £697, quite an improvement from £984 for this previous year. Plus once i changed my address to my current one also knocked a further £50ish off to £626. However, with other alterations to my policy (ie alloys, PCB from now on) my new total for the coming year is

£711.

Overall, i'm very happy. Adrian Flux (y)

Fingers crossed, all going well (weather permitting) i 'should' be getting something new and exciting on the car, it arrived thursday! Watch this space Tuesday evening, possibly wednesday depending when i can get good enough footage of it to show. Hush till then though....

I know what it is! ;) Well so does everyone on your Facebook haha and Im pretty sure MITcar is getting closer.. best get saving for my nuggets!

Yeah i realised i couldn't be quiet on facebook haha. Too many questions i had to throw out to various people and so being subtle was never going to work.....but there are still many who won't have a clue (y)

MITCar is agessssss away still! Plenty of time pal (slightly nervous) :slayer:

On the *update*, i have my mechanic hopefully coming out tomorrow to inspect it, and the car and tell me if its a yay, or a nay. Proving quite awkward to get someone to help me on it

Right, well my mechanic is busy as ever it seems, and hasn't turned up twice to see my little goody to get on the car, so i'm going to do it myself. So i'll ruin the surprise and ask a question with regards to it, as i just want it on the car now (before Stanford too!)

I've purchased a wonderfull Abarth backbox for my car, off the lovely chap iPunto90 (y) Now, what clamp/clip is advisable to get to attach the pipe to where i'm going to cut my standard exhaust off. Want to be sure i get the right thing, as never done anything that involves cutting bits off my car.

So tips, tricks and recommendations much appreciated. Then i can crack on and get it on the darn car. Its frustrating having it sat in the garage and just craving to hear what its going to sound like :woot:

are the pipes same diameter or not?

something like this will prob do fine, you just need to workout where to cut.

I take it i can just take a tape measure to the back of the pipe on backbox and measure, and likewise i can measure the TIP of my exhaust on the car and it'll be the same diametre as the pipe before my standard box, right? As no other way of measuring it without cutting the thing off. Which obviously i can't do as i can't get the new one on yet and i need the car.

That sounds so n00bish :yuck: I'm so not technical minded :bang:

Just got back from Fiat with the intention of finding out what bolts I need to fit my fogs to my car that I've had sat in the garage for nearly a year. Well, he told me the part rather promptly, then told me they were £7.30. So not really being fussed about that price I've walked away with the bolts on hand. Happy days. See if I can get them on the car this afternoon or maybe tomorrow now. So, fingers crossed pictures to follow!

Wisey mate sounds good, any chance of us seeing the spoiler on the car yet ?

Ok ok ok. I know the spoiler is sooo long over due. It will be done soon, hopefully before Stanford Hall too! I'm currently awaiting a company to email me back, as i want to purchase 1 can each of black/red/green plastidip paint. Black for the spoiler, and red/green for another 'little' thing i'm working on! Once i find somewhere i can buy all 3 colours in one place (for convenience only) i'll be able to sort the spoiler out, as the finish on it is appalling and plastidip is a nice/simple/quick fix for this!

Right. Fog lights are fitted! Heres the before/after shot. Love em!

A simple (and again long over due) mod i've had sat around since last summer. Finally done though, and well worth it! (spoiler next!)

Nice one mate! car looks lovely (clean also) white never stays clean!

HD photo's would show the bugs ;)

Yeahhh, it feels like a constant losing battle to keep her clean. She has a good wax base now though, so once a week she gets a quick clean and she's gleaming again in less than 15 mins work.

No not wired in yet. I just fancied them in for show currently, there aren't even bulbs in them :D

Its been covered many times before, but is it possible to wire them into factory switch, or is it advisable to get them done on a separate flick switch somewhere (ie near gear stick).

I'm not overly fussed about them ever working
