Technical Stilo 1.9jtd acceleration dead for a few seconds

i haven't found nothing about the type of brake switch: i found on my local dealer 2 types of brake switch: with 2 poles and 4 poles .. What's the good one?

Hoping that this is the problem of my acceleration and the raised consumption of fuel.

i just changed the switch.
i will take a ride later, hope to be better(hope no more dead acceleration & raised consumption)
price: 10pounds !
now i think it's more ok than the old one, because the old one, even my foot shadow light up the brake bulbs :))

next step: if the dead acceleration persists, i will clean the maf.

Great (y)

If the problem persists, before you take your MAF sensor out and clean it, just disconnect it and go for a drive, you will be able to tell if the sensor is playing up or not (y)

yeah, it;s working fine EXCEPT THE CONSUMPTION! is almost over normal with 1,5-2 liters.
instead of 6.5 it takes 8.
instead of 7.3 it takes 9.(AC On)
the numbers are liters/100km

i drove around 30 km with the new switch, no dead acceleration(yet) .

Now, any idea of increased consumption?

No, it's stock, 115 hp
i don't know why "eats" more fuel now, and this is a serious problem.

There are many areas to explore and work out where the high fuel consumption is coming as I am sure shadyeman will point out, more of an expert than I am, check this video out by him demonstrating how to remove the MAP sensor which is a most probable candidate part to explore in under 2& 1/2 minutes lol :D rock on :slayer:

The onyl thing i havent done yet is clean the map so im gonna give that ago this weekend. Is that allen key and wat size?

EcuScan this evening. I will post errors (if they are) to recognize them.

The MAP of MAF errors appear on EcuScan?

the results of the FiatEcuScan.

2 errors stored, replaced the brake switch yesterday, so i cleared the errors.
So what can you tell me about the other error? I wanna say that i changed my clutch pump last week, so i guess the erros was from then?

i erased them and didn't appear again.

Opinions?

Now i have a problem with my fuel indicator, it's playing how it wants: climb/down from time to time, also this play of fuel indicator modify the range too depending on how the indicator is in that moment.

P1555 just means that the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal have been pressed at the same time. The engine management ECU doesn't expect that to happen so it shows as an implausibility fault.

Davren - you right, that was before replacing the brake switch, the old one was so sensitive, even my foot shadow light up the brakes, and sometimes the brake lights were stuck--> so brake light ON + acceleration= simultaneously pressing. So i replaced the brake switch.

As i said i delete the errors, i drove a little bit, around 2 kilometers, no errors reappeared, so hope to be good.

the clutch error can come from the clutch switch too?

This fuel indicator it's making me crazy !!!

What can make the fuel indicator to fluctuate so much? In most cases, i stop the engine with the needle pointing something and start the engine with the needle pointing below, then it climbs in the position as it should be. But also happens to fall and rise as it likes.

This fuel indicator modify the range too depending on how it is in that moment.

What should i check??? Float sensor? The entire circuit from the fuel pump to dashboard?

According to this thread
https://www.fiatforum.com/stilo/137551-stilo-fuel-gauge.html
One area to have checked over is the is "the fuel sender unit" on the actual fuel tank, bad electrics/voltage/ or fuel level sensor could also be responsible.

This thread has some good info too so have a read through it

hope this helps (y)
