Be interesting to see what this 500 looks like with the above.

Dog's breakfast I should think.

I suspect the 500's retro appearance is in no small measure responsible for its enormous success. IMO adding flash trendy bits to it makes no sense.

Judging by the huge discounts you can't get, the 500 is doing well for FIAT, in the UK at least. If it ain't bust, why fix it?

I like the sound of the 'new' spec Twin Air and its good that it will appeal to a new market - the sporty somethings for what of a better word.

I cann't help thinking that the US Sport model with the Abarthy kit might do the trick. I have mixed views about it (the A500 does it for me). But I would have to see the US model in the flesh so that I could judge for myself.

But I do agree that there is something very appealiing about the retro 500 shape and if you play with a formula it may not 'work' afterwards.

Well the sport wasn't exactly selling that well so they had to do something I guess. Whether or not this was the right thing to do though......

Making the "sport" available with the twinair only is a bit of a daft decision. Ooh the sport spec isn't selling well, lets make it available only with only the engine which costs £1200 more!

Makes perfect sense doesn't it?!?!?!? NOT!

If they really wanted to simplify the range then they would have got rid of the FIRE engines and launched the 65 and 105bhp twinair models, make the pop available only on the 65 and 85bhp models, make the lounge spec available on the 65, 85 and 105 bhp models and make the sport spec available on the 85 and 105bhp models. Make the sport model more sporty looking with 16" wheels and a few other subtle things as in not chav black wheels and black roof........

As it was there wasn't enough to differentiate the sport from the lounge, different design wheel but still 15", no chrome (looks better with it I have to admit), tiny spoiler and fog lights. They needed to make the difference between sport and lounge to be more like the difference between a 100hp and 1.2 eleganza Panda.
