Technical Rear Wiper Not Working

I've noticed the past couple of days that the rear wiper on my car has been "picky" of when it would wipe. Although yesterday it decided to completely stop working. I twist to wipe, nothing. I push the stalk for a couple of seconds to wash the back window and still it doesn't wipe. Today has also seen no signs of life.

I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow to get it sorted. Just wondering if anything similar has happened to anybody else and what stopped it from working?

I agree probably in the flexi boot between the boot and the main body of the car if its under 2 years old it will be covered if into 3rd year wiring isn't usually covered
