Fiat punto Grande 1.4 2009 - drove 145.000 km

Just changed the timing belt, water pump and v- belt.
I still have a annoying sound when i am starting the car.

The cars drive perfectly after the start up sound and it seems like it only appearing when the motor is cold

I uploaded a video for you to hear the sound.
Please help- what can it be ?

Could be Starter motor slow to disengage pinion from flywheel ring gear .
So a new starter would might help ?
I was also thinking the battery could be the problem - i think its a long time since i was changed but not 100 % sure.
Could that make the sound ? because when i drive for 10 minutes and then try to start again- then the sound dissappear.

You could remove the aux belt and try start ...if noise gone then could be something driven by belt (alternator working very hard due to old battery)

Starter motor is getting stuck on the ring gear, possibly a weak spring, a new starter motor might fix the problem but if the ring gear has some damage to it that is causing the starter to get stuck then you ‘might’ still get the same problem.

I would try taking the starter off and giving the pinion gear a really good clean up with a corse wire brush

In that case get someone to help push start car....if no noise then you have proved noise is from starter motor
Okay now i tried as you said and there is no sound. Then it can only be the starter right ?
I tried to see if the batteri is allright - and it said 12,6 volt turned of and 14 volt turned on

Yes if I was bothered by the noise I would be replacing the starter (-:
