You could try measuring the resistance of the pump. If the pump is gone, there might be an open circuit.
This is for an other brand, but the principle is the same.
Without a functioning pump, diesel combustion changes. It’s not good for the environnement nor is it good for your particulate filter which might clog up much sooner.
Some non dedicated FIAT scanners can't communicate with the modules, or can read but don't have write access, so can't erase the errors. What do you mean? The scanner? Its a snapon communicates and shows error code and erases but re- reading error code comes back
so I assumed you can't erase it.This code has suddenly appeared and wont clear
comes back
If the pump doesn't have an open circuit, it likely still works. You could check if the wires actually apply voltage to the pump, if there are animal bites present, the wire might also be broken and breaks in the copper might not even be visible from outside, if the isolation is damaged at some place, copper will corrode and lose its conductivity, you can listen if the pump actually works (I don't know if it makes that much noise, I bet the fuel pump will be much louder). Its reading 92 ohms or there abouts off
