Tuning Need some tuning advice for my 1.4 T Jet Bravo

2009 Bravo T - Jet 150.

Cracking car so far and am loving every minute driving her. however, inevitably i wanna start fooling around and improving her.

Considering the following upgrades:
-EBC Ultimax grooved discs + Redstuff Pads
-Eibach 30mm Lowering Spring (Think its called the Pro Kit)
-K&N or BMC Air filter
-TMC Tuning box

Was wondering if anyone could tell me about there experiences with these products or recommend anything better

P.s If you could point out the best places to get aftermarket Bravo parts in australia, id be so grateful :slayer:

Drilled and grroved discs look great, i have them on mine, i wouldn't get redstuff pads, they are made with high temperature track racing in mind, and only perform well under high temperatures, i would go for greenstuff pads as they work best on roads, as for an air filter they sound great and make the turbo and the BOV a lot louder

Avoid ebc in my experience. I fit Zimmerman drilled discs and omp or pagid sport pads

I would never go for a powerbox/tuning box. Difficult story, but in the end you can conclude that a powerbox does nothing different than changing signals from the engine to the computer and back. It "misleads" the engine.

Last week I did an OBD tuning (chiptuning) to my 150HP t-jet Sport. What an extra power! Must be around 175/180HP now and almost 300NM torque.
Go for it, instead of a powerbox.

Nop. Just in a garage, with the laptop. They uploaded my software, did the changing and downloaded in the car again.
The software is based on a lot of experience with multiple Bravo's t-Jet 150's. When the Bravo came on the market they went up to 185HP, but immediately there were problems with the clutch. After 2 customers returned, they scaled the power a little down. 175HP and 300NM is MAX for the clutch!
From the engine, 200HP is possible, but you will need a different, stronger, clutch.

Remap, no rubbish chip... always!
Don't bother about drilled discs, no point on our cars... unless you just want for looks.
Induction + Downpipe + Backbox... best 3 things you can do first... all about the air flow, then get the car mapped.

Thanks for the help what induction brand should I use: k&n or BMC? I hear good things about both

The Disks are Mtec, and they are great and then pads are also very good, cost me £120 for front pads and disks

Well as far as I know you don't get a K&N cone filter.
BMC is great, I would go with that one, you just remove your entire stock air induction system, not including the front little air intake part since a solenoid has to be attached to that.

Buy yourself a 45 degree bend and the filter with 2 clamps and that's all you need, some cable ties or whatever method you prefer to secure it in place.

I can promise you without a doubt you favourite upgrade in the list, the induction/turbo sound is just fantastic!

I'm thinking at this stage I'll just upgrade the filter, then later on if I want to remap I'll go get a full intake done

Hi Daniel, I got a exact same car as yours and I am in Sydney.
I am looking for the tuning map for my car ( map only ) and I knew that Vince from Automoda would upgrade that for me using all equipment they already have.
Don't go for chip box, they are NOT helpful at all as I got one off ebay already.
K&N filter can't see any different too.

I had some tuning experience for my FG XR6 before and trust me, they most helpful thing is a ecu tuning.

Hey.

I have a 120hp 1.4 T-Jet Punto and a 150hp 1.4 T-Jet Ritmo in my family (Sydney, Aus)

Good to see a few more Ritmo/Bravo owners around. My Ritmo is stock as a rock but i've modded the Punto up a bit. Basically if youre looking for aftermarket Fiat parts in Aus your best bet is to go through either Italian or UK sites, even ebay.it or .uk.

I've got my lowering springs, BMC filter etc all from there, as with the rest of my parts. You in sydney as well Daniele? What colour/spec you got?
