Technical Mystical connector in the trunk. GP 2009

Hi All

There is an electrical connector and some holes, located in the luggage compartment, left wheel arch side. Any ideas on what it could be used for?

Possibly for a 12 volt power outlet socket.

Ore the likely a 12v power point
3 cables with be earth and power
Then a second power feed for the light of the socket

It’s for a 12v socket that goes here

I fitted one on my Evo which had the same plug bundled up just like yours

My experience is thus...

If you attempt to use this 12v power point with the engine off you'll quickly find the battery drained and having to bump start the car.
