Imola C20XE :D

Also, a Cinq instrument binnacle may be big enough, certainly bigger than a Sei one...

Cinq wont work due to the front passenger headlight, which is a shame... looked into it. I had this convo last time i made the sei, and came up with the issue... One was later built in poland... without its headlight fitted... bugger..

On ebay, gumtree, pistonheads & the trader on a daily...

Will check the links out now :)

Ah yes I remember that, and another spinning like a top around some cones... tbh I thought they would have just needed to mod a light like you did for the first Sei, but they just left it out altogether to let some air in instead.

There was a Cinq with a Sei dashboard pictured on here, you could always try that in reverse, though it might end up looking out of place compared to the rest of the trim, and be a nightmare to fit.

BUT, do a twin front headlight conversion on the Cinq, after the manner of Rallycinq, and you gain something like 4 or 5 inches in the engine bay.............

As much as I'd like a Cinquecento version, quad lights would give the game away a bit... plus the last time I checked the individual units cost a pretty penny, though that was from DT...

Ah yeah, I forgot about the quad lamps on older 3 series...es. Will both from either side fit into the space of a Cinquecento headlight?

Could always go for a pair from a non-GTi mk2 Golf, as they only had one on either side, if there is not enough space for the BMW ones.

It'll be tight! I did some rough calculations on a Sei and it looked just about on. Rallycinq uses smaller ones, IIRC, so one smaller, one from a scrappy each side would surely do it. But the slam panels for late Cinqs and all Seis are the same, so the space should be there.

The space is there if the headlight isnt... I cut the last sei headlight up and fibreglassed a new rear... The reflector design inside the cinqy means its not possible to chop up...

I hope your using plastiguage to check the shells etc and not just checking it spins freely

Apparently their not cast together and then broken off like some fiats fords etc.. Their seperate from the factory so ive been told... and with the bearings being brand new ive been told not to worry by a few people.

As for the plastiguage, il say yes... however between me and you, i dont own a kit lol :)

Worry! The FIAT twin cam doesn't have the split type rods, and I don't see GC saying "it'll probably be alright............."

See post #144!

Lol and see post 157..... The room isnt where i need it!!

Its not just the depth, its the corner of the lens.. I could get away with it if i lost the middle two lights from the morretts... TBH i think they look a bit gay and not original, hence id then loose the sleeper look and look more like a 17 year old with a discount card for halfords...

Im trying to keep away from the modded look as much as possible, as the last sei looked cr*p :)

Its having new bearings, and a fine crank... i dont think they get the milliput out in the factory on the production line when the engines are built, as no engine is ever the same as the next, and things are never perfect.. Got other things to worry about than playing with play-doh ...lol
